The old bridge connects the old town to the other side of the Neckar. It offers a magnificent view of the castle, especially at night. more

Goethe called it one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. I don't know that I'd share his opinion, but the Carl Theodor bridge was certainly a wonderful stop while my wife and I stayed in Heidelberg. It connects the old city (and University) to a residential neighborhood, and allows for wonderful views of the old town, castle, and... more
