Beautiful site to see

This early 18th century bridge was quite magnificent. The gateway and statues are all very well preserved. Such a beautiful spot to take photos.

Are incredible. This gives you a feel for the city. You can feel yourself going backwards in time here. Great pictures!

This bridge is not busy like the Charles Bridge in Prague. It is much quieter. The castle in the background provides a great sight.

After I enjoyed Walking in the streets of the old city I reach this Beautiful bridge where I get to see the Neckar River & the beautiful castle from there. The scene from the bridge is spectacular. I loved it so much it shows you an amazing View from all sides. Heidelberg is so wonderful city I enjoy my time... More

We just love walking over the old bridge to the Philosophenweg via the Schlangenweg, but also watching the sunset from the bridge. We enjoy the student rowers going back and forth underneath. Then the hike to the Theodore Heuss Bruecke is nice too!

Another part of a great walk through Heidelberg. The bridge attracts many people to take pictures.Be sure to visit the brass monkey and have your picture taken. A slow calm walk through the area will lead youth the beige and again the history is well documented.

Alte Brucke is the oldest bridge, first built 13th century and the view of the mountain, castle and the city is a real treat for the eyes. River cruises moving in a relaxed manner is a nice thing to see. Lot of youngsters (from University) are visiting and make the place more lively.

Very touristy, but relaxed and fun! Great place to just watch the world float on by, lots of cruises and boating racing from the University.

A lovely old bridge that is teaming with history! Follow the bridge into the old square lined with shops and cafe's. A favorite spot for local students and tourists. A nice couple of hours can be passed leisurely roaming the shops or having lunch or back over the bridge to the Northern banks with it's park like setting...

You are always drawn to a river when visiting a new city and the old bridge over the Neckar River in Heidelberg is lovely. Pity it wasn't for pedestrians only.
