Beautiful town square

Lots of shops to explore in the town square. Most shops I've ever seen in a small town. Apparently the most in all of Germany. Family friendly area.

In our trip to black forest, we tasted the authentic Schwarzbaldtorte, a chocolate cake really delicious. The place is calm, and paceful, and an attraction is the corner church. Really nice and really typical black forest.

Big markpklatz, but not many vendors. The stores around it were much more interesting. I don't think there were 20 vendors when we went, but it was a Tuesday, maybe the other market day is bigger.

We spent the night in a local hotel. The next morning we took a tour of this famous marketplace and found it fantastic. A visit to the church is a must! The first church stone was laid in 1601 (city founded in 1599) and finished around 1608. It began with renaissance influence with gothic touches. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed... More

We ate in the Market Square. Be warned, get there early everwhere shuts up at 9pm (at the height of tourist season). Madness!

We stopped because we were tired of driving and we were glad we did, tourist shop ya sure and some nice down home shops as well. The local wedding cake maker had a neat little shop, it was a coffee shop a tea room and all sorts of little sweet cakes, and if you prefer she'll pour you a shot... More

THis plaza is very good for a dayshopping . Has a lovely timed fountain and a train that shows the towns sights . Plenty of shops and cafes to ponder over

After a great drive through the forrest finding this place was a bonus we did not expect. A quaint, though different feel than Freiburg itched weather is also much cooler. Just note that shops close early on Saturday!

The surrounding area is nice with many fountains and various shops. We were there in October when there was not much happening there. Would like to see it again in the summer months. Can definitely recommend the brewery in the middle for a spot of lunch and a very nice home brew with friendly service.
