First, we went there in Easter, which is really "off peak" for most of Germany. There were hardly any people. However, it seems like the place is extremely busy during skiing and summer season. You can take your car very close to the top. From there, either a 30 min hike up the top or a cable car ride. When... More

Its always possible to have some fun up there, doesn't matter what time you are there In summer you can hike In winter you can go for skiing But in winter its very crowded and also not cheap So when you have time and are willing to spend a little bit more go for the alps...

You can reach this stupefying place either by public transport or by hiring a car. from Freighburg it may take around an hour. Its nevertheless to say its a paradise of snow.... till whereva ur eyes can reach its all snow snow snow.... a beauty to be atleast felt once in a life time.

Summer is the right time for getting to Feldberg (the highest mountain in Black Forest). The walk to get to the Bismark monument was a bit tyring, because we did not get the expensive mountain cable. Once there, we go up into the tower, and there were an explanation about the mountains sorrounding Feldberg. It was a clear day, but... More

We wanted to get out of the hustle and bustle. Took a Tram to Feldberg, where a cable car takes you up a mountain. At the top beautiful vistas of the Black Forest and lots of hiking trails through beatiful forests and meadows. Also a very nice and reasonably priced restaurant - full of locals so has to be good!

A great walk up through the pine forests with good views at the top. AFter spending a lot of energy to get there, its great to relax in the gastof and indulge in good mountain food....you will have earned it if you walked up...but you can get there by car too.

Great train ride up. Rail/bus connections not really clear to a non-German speaking foreigner. Should have had great views of the Swiss Alps but the day wasn't overly clear. Looked like some delightful walks available.

Before going there one should check opening hours (cable car closing at 17:00 during summer!) and rain forcast. Unfortunately, there was rain forcast for the day, in Freiburg it just drizzled, but as we arrived to the bottom of the cable car it was "raining cats and dogs". Also there was little point of going up as we have arrived... More

The view from the mountain and from the tower is beautiful. We were surprised to see all the other attractions for kinds near it including pony rides, rope park, etc.
