Beautiful space around cathedral, medieval houses

Somehow the Cathedral and much of the square survived wartime bombing and the medieval buildings on this side of the cathedral are an impressive and beautiful site.

Cobbled, authentic, in the shadow of the Black Forest. Some small shops and restaurants around it, and markets on some days, but really just go there to se the architecture and the Cathedral

We were here for a few hours for as a bus transfer. We left our luggage locked up at the train station (5 euro for a day for a locker that could fit a suitcase and a carry on bag) and went for a wander through the town. It is a very nice town and was very quiet when we... More

Cheese cake from Stefans - I am in love with the Cheese cake sold by Stefans. One of the best cakes that... More

There is a beautiful church surronded by stalls and a plethora of vendors. The church was huge but lovely. Very serene and peaceful. Then as you step out to into the markt place. What a site. Beautiful flowers, great crafts and wares and the aroma of sausages and fresh bread. The curry sausage was divine, the spicy sausage was suberb.... More

This is the place to visit in the morning. A busy market. And in the evening: a beautiful cathedral.

Munsterplatz is the heart of the city and the very romantic place. Close to shops, bars, a beer garden and Münster
