A brilliant place to have a budget Spa day on the edge of Freiburg. The outside pool area is fantastic with various bubble, water massage stations, a floating stream and hot pots. It is especially enjoyable to float in steaming hot water in winter. We also enjoy watching the birds at nearby feeders and nestboxes while we soak. You can... More

Traditional family place. Simple, clean, not expensive. One bad point: rude only German speaking. And the restaurant is overbooked and stressed people

We spent a brilliant four hours in the Keidel Thermalbad despite the pouring rain outside and and would recommend it as a must-visit to anyone in the Freiburg area. Here are some tips for all Keidel virgins: 1. You don't have to be naked in the thermal pool area, only in the saunas, which you pay about 6 Euros extra... More

Beautiful setting in the woods, an immaculate spa center to relax and unwind. Even on a rainy overcast day it was glorious. Lunch in the cafe was good too.

The most amazing place and a superb day out for the whole family. Range of pools with different temperatures and different features all beautifully designed. It's even possible to go down into the cellars and see the source.

This was probably the best experience of our stay in Freiburg this year. We went to the thermal pools in the afternoon and had a wonderful time. There are several pools inside with different temperatures, but the top are the outside pools which have Jacuzzi and lazy river incorporated. The outside temperature was about zero, but we didn't even notice... More

My husband and I visited here in September. We have passed through Freiburg on numerous occasions but have never been to this spa before. In truth, we probably would not have found it unless we had stayed at the nearby Dorint Hotel. We have visited lots of spas in Europe over the years but this one really stands out -... More

Great spa. The pool outside was great and you are surrounding by the black forest. The sauna's are also very nice and it is a really big area full of many rooms with different temperatures as well as a huge lake outside. Just be aware that you have to be nude, however you can place a towel around you the... More

We had originally planned for 2 visits to nearby Vita Classica, but after visiting both baths, we spent our time at Keidel. Keidel is cleaner and the baths are a few steps away from eachother or connected. On weekends, arrive early to avoid the crowds (and get a parking spot). Stay for lunch because the cafe is a lovely surprise... More

I am a regular customer to the Thermalbad when I am in the area. I especially love going there in winter when it is cold outside and you can lay in the hot water and see the stars in the dark. The outdoor area has 3 different parts all with different bubble areas, a canal with streaming water and very... More
