Also this year we returned to the Keidel Thermen with much anticipation, and we were not disappointed. The thermal baths were as lovely, relaxing and beneficial as ever. We recommend going during the week and preferably in the early afternoon, because during week end and in the evening it gets busy. Remember to bring your own towels to avoid having... More

The baths are easy to access via bus from Freiburg. We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the outdoor pool which offers a few variations from a walking whirlpool, to bubble jets and the various heated levels. Good day out for something different than sightseeing.

Apart from being impeccably clean and very convenient for the Dorint hotel next door there is not much to say other than it is a couple of pools with various different (warm/hot) parts with water jets, currents and bubbles. It is not a water park. There is plenty of space to sit out in the sun. I spent a pleasant... More

This is a beautifully well laid out, fresh and clean, excellent value for money spa near Freiburg. It cost €20.50 for an all day pass to both the Saunascape and the main bathing area. Dressing gowns are hired for €4. Main bathing is a mix of indoor and outdoor pools from normal pool temperature up to 40 degrees. There is... More

Ohhh, yeeaahhh, this is really great! :) Hot one in the thermalbad and cold in the saunalandschaft. + nice green territory near outdoor pools with free chaise longues, volleyball pitch and some other objects + price + huge free parking + stand... After traveling around with my husband and 11 year old, we thought a day in a mineral bath would be fun. Keidel is perfect for all ages. The nudity is limited to the sauna areas and ironically charges more to take off your clothes. The spa consists of several interconnected pools of various temperatures with fun lazy rivers. The spa... More

This is my second review of the Keidel Bad because I was there on Saturday and they've re-opened after some renovations. They have a new pay system which uses a little plastic coin. The coin can be mounted and worn in a waterproof "watch" that locks and unlocks your locker. The coin is used to pay for food or drink... More

If you just fancy a cheap and enjoyable thermal bath experience then this is great. Lots of options temperature-wise and (during the week when we went) very quiet. We walked from the last tram stop on the no.1 line through the forest to get there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Just take bus 35E from Haid (Terminus of tramline 3/other one is Vauban, you can take bus 11 to Haid) and stop in front of the spa. Dayticket 13.50 Adult/9.50 euro/child, with sauna options 3 euro more. There are different swimming pools outdoor and indoor. They have different mineral baths and solariums. We didn't take them but they have a... More

A brilliant place to have a budget Spa day on the edge of Freiburg. The outside pool area is fantastic with various bubble, water massage stations, a floating stream and hot pots. It is especially enjoyable to float in steaming hot water in winter. We also enjoy watching the birds at nearby feeders and nestboxes while we soak. You can... More
