We've come here often to enjoy a coffee at the beautiful Café Lumen or simply take a leisurely stroll around the gardens. Today we then also ventured into the shop, where my Mum had the temerity to pick up a book and leaf through it. Just as she was about to take it over to the till to pay, the... More

Very close to downtown and a beautiful walk along the Lichtentaller Allee. We missed the tour, but spent some time in the Chapel. It is a beautiful old building, and the interior has lots of modern touches, but there is a remnant of a 13th century fresco and my favorite thing, a bas-relief of what looks like a knight in... nice thing to do in Baden Baden: walk from the monastery to downtown. 20 minutes nice walk.... if it is not raining.

The visit was extremely interesting and rewarding. Tickets: just 3€. Unfortunately, if you don't understand German it will be of less use, as they do not offer the visited tour in english. What a pity!

I liked the chapel inside the Abbey grounds. It is a holy and reverent place to sit and meditate, pray, worship. The Cistercien Abbey is at the end of Lichtentaller Allee. It is an easy stroll along the beautiful sights of Lichtentaller Allee and the river Oos. We walked to it and also rode bikes there one other time.
