The views are amazing! You can appreciate God's creation! We watched people doing paragliding. Will be going back.

After a great walk from town through posh residential areas and then meadows and fruit trees and forests, we arrived at the small station and purchased our tickets. The nice lady explained that accepting only cash did cause problems for some tourists but that the railway was municipally funded and thus didn’t have much choice. We went aboard the funicular... Take the local bus 214 from Leopold plz to base of the Bergbahn (Mtn train) and train departs approx every 20 mins. Cost 4 euros . Great views of the Baden Baden township and the surrounding Swarzwald (Blackforrest) on way up. At top.. the tower, built 1926, may be climbed for even further viewing of far off castle ruins,.villages, wildeness,.&... More

From the train, you can't see much but when you get up there is a very nice view of Baden-Baden and its surroundings. There is a restaurant there as well, and some paths were you can take a wall. The only negative thing was that one of our tickets didn't work.

Probably the best view of Black Forest one can see. Also a nice experience going up to the top by Cog Wheel Train. On a clear day you can see all the way to French side. It can be pretty cold up there even on a sunny day.

The bergbahn is on top of a hill, then the bergbahn goes up and you are on a great big mountain and then you climb up a lot of stairs (there is a elevator too) to stand on a tower with view over all of south Germany. Needless to say, it is high up. It's a lovely place to take... More

The ride up was great, and the hike down to the bottom was very nice as well. We were able to see some wild boars. However, signs indicating how to get down to the parking lot were very confusing and we were lucky to be with experienced people who knew how to get down. We were really lucky and got... More

Not a lot to add..cable car is great..meal at the top is average..too processed and out of a can for me. But they do have a copy of the menu in English..so ask for it. The toilets are hard to find..you need to go inside. Probably easier to ask.
