Mont d'Arbois

Great blue and green runs for beginners! Really pretty, through the trees, and great variety down the mountain.

Mont d'Arbois bottom of the gondola is accessed by the free skibus from Megeve. The gondolas whisk you up to the plateau from where you can ski down the St Gervais side - cruisey blues, wide reds, or down the Princess red or black to the Princess middle station. Go the other way towards Mont Joux for steeper slopes, and... More

Really liked this ski area. Great restaurant at the bottom of the gondola which was very accommodating. The pistes were wide and well groomed. Good signage too.

The slopes are quite pleasant, the standards of run preparation are very high and everyone will find something to cater to their needs here. The challenging black and... More

Although the area is at a low altitude compared to some others in the French Alps, the area is well planned and works very well; ski slopes are extensive and both they and the mountain restaurants are quiet for most of the season. Although not the highest, we have been happy (lucky?) with the snow. There are plenty of runs... More

I was very disappointed by the standards of piste preparation by the snow cats/snow ploughs. We found that when traversing the piste were not level; as if the snowcats go up and down the piste but do not take care to return at the same depth and 'join-up' the surface. This resulted in an experience of 'skiing over shallow steps'.... More

Busy at French holiday season and certain runs get worn, but being a large domain there is great skiing away from the usual routes
