I can barely imagine such a great park is free ! When you know that London zoo is only accessible with a fee, it is a shame ! That park is great for the zoo, the botanical part, picnics, or just chilling out. You can buy food everywhere or enjoy a hot meal at a terrace. Have a great day... More

The lay out of the parc itself is nice, the best thing I enjoyed is the beautiful houses built around the parc. You should count at least 2 hours to have your walk and one houre if you decide to hire a two seats bike. Of course when you walk you drink and when you drink you need to use... More

But pack a lunch - the dining options are few and expensive. The zoo and gardens are free and the boating is a lot of fun.

One not to miss, free zoo and a park with botanical gardens, take a picnic, take your bike or hire one for free for a half hour ride or the day for 1 euro 50. Playgrounds for the children and a boating lake. Easy to park although this is at a cost in the cite internationale and then just a... More

Chose this park for a long walk alone, with the kids and family. Enjoy the nature, flowers, animals and the sun and consider to do a picnic. Beautiful!!!

The "zoo" is perhaps mis-named (antelopes and egrets?), but nice just the same. Everything else is wonderful. The botanical areas are great, there is a kids' playground, plus a scenic lake with rowboats and plenty of walking trails. It was threatening rain when we went, so we only stayed 90 minutes. The flowers were starting to bloom, too. Wish we... More

It's approx. 4 km. on the running/walking trail around the park. Great place for a good run and it has everything in here; the zoo, botanical garden and the lake. I really enjoy a slow day in Lyon, truly a lung of the city. It's in walking distance to Bernachon Chocolatier too, a great treat after your exercise in the... More

This is a beautiful city park. However to suddenly realise you are also ambling through a wonderful zoo, elevates it to 5 star status. If that's not enough, the botanical garden is also a fabulous 15 minute interlude and if you are not 'walked out' by all of that. you can exit the north side for a walk down the... More
