Wonderful garden as always

As always, beautiful. Nice gardens, nice glasshouse, free and wonderful zoo. You can row on the lake and enjoy the sun and the view around.

I would not consider the park to be a must-see. We went as my husband had a conference at the massive conference center at one end of the park. A pleasant stroll, lovely gardens, a small zoo. The walk along the Rhone is just as scenic. The gardens on the walk down from the Basilica at Fourviere just as lovely.

This is the biggest urban park in France (117 ha). The trail along the border is approx 4km. You have a lake, restaurant, paved trail for biking or other activities, playgrounds for children, a real (free) zoo, trees, a "rose" park. This is an oasis of quiet in the town.

This park is a great way to really see what the Lyonnaise are all about. From a zoo, to a lake with canoeing, this place is a lovely place to visit with family and friends. The zoo has animals like giraffes, bears, lions, monkeys, zebras, crocodiles and many more. Bring a mat to lie on and enjoy some time soaking... More

One of my favourite places to visit in Lyon. The botanical gardens are beautiful and there are many pleasant walks to fill an afternoon. Also a mini zoo area with animals to keep the kids entertained as well as a good play area. Parking can be tricky if you plan to drive.

We went to see the Roseraie which has 3000 kinds of roses but due to the heat wave the poor flowers were dying. It is however a very pleasant spot for a stroll along the lake.

A brilliant public space with something for everyone. The kids loved the zoo (free), we loved the botanical gardens and we all loved the huge open and tree lined areas. The lake in the centre is pretty cool as well. Well worth a visit.

This park is beautiful, specially at the beginning of Autumn and in Spring. The size and diversity of the place are amazing: an enormous lake where you can rent a boat, a big forest area, the rosery, many plains...and a free zoo! I dont like zoo's myself, and would never pay to enter one; here although its sad to see... More
