I'm a big fan of film memorabilia and costumes and was reading some blogpost where someone recommended this museum. Since I live not too far from Lyon I had to come and see it! I didn't read Tripadvisor prior to the visit so I didn't really know what to expect (apart from the info on their official website with only... More

Very nice to visit especially if you love artistic. Great pieces, very good attention to detail and very interesting pieces! Good variety of things to see shows across 8 floors so be ready to climb and also some squeamish stuff but so much to see that you don't feel like you've missed out if you don't see some things.

The miniature museum now also has a section on (mainly science fiction related) films, including amazing original sets from the movie Perfume. The miniatures are stunning, even if like me you first raised your eyebrows at going to see what looks like a series of doll houses. Absolutely worth a visit, though some of the movie props are scary for... More

I love the miniatures, both the permanent and temporary exhibits. When I visited the temporary exhibit was on urban new york and I love every bit of it. Staring at these miniatures is like architectural photography in 3D. The original film memorabilia were also fascinating although I was not that interested on it but I could imagine that it would... This is definitely worth visiting. It has 8 rooms of different showcases. There's a lot of movie props on display. The miniature rooms are also very nice. You get to see all the details put into the works. Take a photo close up and you might have people mistaking it for a real room.

I loved this museum and have visited on two different trips to Lyon. All the miniature models of rooms etc are incredible, and every tiny detail is present. They really have to be seen to be believed. The museum is located right in the centre of Vieux Lyon, very easy to get to

We took a look at the free section, which is just before ticketing. Too dark and crowded. And it was November. We didn't bother paying to get in.

An incredible museum, where you are invited to a precious treat: share some of the secrets of movie artists who are normally in the background but who are so decisive! You'll never watch a movie in the same way again.

You're in one of the most precious building in Lyon and discovering all the little secrets of the movies you saw. You'll see the alien queen, C3PO, Gizmo, and all different kind of cotumes and building made up especially for movies... Very nice tour !

This little museum of cinema is spread over four floors of an ancient stone house in the heart of the Lyon old town. You start in the basement and work up through the eight rooms, which house a mix of movie props and impressively detailed miniature sets. There is even the "Aliens" queen lurking in one of the rooms. It... More
