The museum might seem small from the outside but we spent a good 1.5 hours in there without being bored. Extremely interesting and entertaining. The temporary exposition of dolls by Julian martineau was great. We loved taking pictures of the miniature scenes - they look so real!! Highly recommended.

This is a museum that combines temporary exhibits related to the special effects in films with some miniature models depicting various everyday scenes. Some of this exhibition might not be suitable for small children but such sections are well signposted.

It was a surprise the miniatures world. Kids loved it. Lots of trivia about film making process. Nice location in the city center.

The museum is set in an impressive old building and spans several floors. The exhibits are lovingly displayed and carefully explained. The immersive set from the film Perfume is the first piece of the museum: very atmospheric and intricately thought out. Lots of well known pieces from Hollywood films: gremlins, the idol from Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost... More

This museum is right next to our Airbnb stay and is free with the Lyon Card, otherwise we probably wouldn't have visited but I have to say that if you are interested in film, costumes, showdown effects etc it is a great museum for adults and children alike. Really enjoyed this.

Cool place to visit, especially if you are interested in film. Even if not, you actually learn a lot in a very entertainig way.

My husband and I did not know what to expect when we went into this museum. We were blown away by what was inside. Well worth the nine euros. The artifacts were from movies we knew. It was just an enjoyable experience

Nice break from the hustle and bustle of the old city, movie props are pretty cool and lead one to remember days gone by, miniatures are great
