When in Lyon and you're looking for French food, but don't want to be in a tourist trap, then go here. Mostly French local goes there. Reasonable priced food on this street. We tried Bistor Regent and we were very surprised by the low price for beef. For less than 20 Euro you can eat a piece of "beef". I... More

My apartment literally overlooks this pedestrian alley. The entire street is filled with restaurants, nothing but restaurants, about 20 of them. Follow your nose for the good smells, watch which ones are full of local residents diners. Hard to spend more than 25 Euros for a 3 course meal. Some of the places serve surprisingly good food.

Even if you don't eat here, you should visit this street. It is lined by restaurants offering every kind of French food. Fancy prices or cheap (2 of us had a 3 course meal and wine for €50) it is pretty well all good. But most important you see the real Lyon. There are fancier restaurants in the old town,... More

In this street you will find two restaurants which are typical "bouchons". Excellent adouillettes, quenelles, cervelles de canuts, etc. are served. The first is called : "La Mère Jean" and the second "Chez Mounier". They are located besides one another. You have to go their if you are looking for local popular places ! Bon appétit !
