Behind the church is the view. Also fine dining at this spot and two telescope . A real panorama. There is also a small religious gift shop here.

The hill with the basilica dominates the Lyon skyline. It's a steep walk of 15-20 minutes at least (unless you cheat and take the funicular) but views are worth it. Roman ruins add to the area if churches don't grab you.

A lot of churches and museums, including. There is also excellent view on the city from the hill. Definitely worth a visit

Spent an afternoon enjoying the views of Lyon from this special place. Great metro service to get there. Markets lined the street providing a great choice of fresh fruits to enjoy.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better view of a city anywhere else. You can see absolutely everything from this vantage point and is well worth the walk up (if you're so inclined). If not, there is the funiculaire.

You should visit both during the day and night to see the notredame and the sight of Lyon. We used the cable car to go up and walked down the hill. The little alleys were so pretty!

It feels like you are on top of the world as you look down on the city of Lyon from this vantage point. It's a stiff walk up, or you can get there by metro or the Open Top bus service. If you like cityscapes, then this is a must see sight.

great views across the city of Lyon. Very very very busy. How lucky were we that it wasn't too far from our hotel.

This is definitely the place to view the city. More tourists in the afternoon, so go to the top early for less crowds
