The view from this cathedral is amazing. Inside was fine (after travelling throughout Europe, you get used to seeing cathedrals). Also, be sure to check out the Roman Theatre which is only a short walk from the cathedral.

I get that this is a top rated tourist attraction in Lyon, but I don't know how this basilica isn't more well known on the larger European scale. We were curious to take a look at this random church we could see at the top of the hill and thought it would just be small and offer some nice views... More

This church has six walls and the cieling in mosaic. The most I have ever seen. And just when you think you are done, go down stairs and find another full size church below dedicated to Our lady of Guadeloupe Very nice.

Completely stunning and best place to start your tour of the city. Everything falls into place - the confluence, the old town, the gardens etc. Visit the amphitheatre whilst up here, then catch the funicular back down into the old town for breakfast.

Church is beautiful Inside and outside. There was ceremony going on at Sunday evening. We did get to see it from inside and it was totally worth it. Church is very detailed and colourful. View point of Fourviere is around the corner and also worth of visiting.
