One of the longest passageways of its kind in Lyon, it is worth walking through this when you are in the area to feel like you can take yourself back in time. Great if you like taking creative photographs.

I stayed at this hotel when I first decided to move to Lyon. I am glad I did - it totally sealed my decision to move here. Built halfway into the mountain side, you have gardens on different floors and breakfast / dinner in the most unusual courtyard. Worth every penny.

The traboule between St. Jean and Rue de Boeuf is easy to find and one of the longest. It's interesting as a piece of history, but is no more than a series of alleys and courtyards so I'm not sure why people big it up so much.

Found a few of these from guidebooks, and found the whole idea a bit curious. Didn't love it, sort of thought of it as something sensible that people do rather than a huge innovation. Did find some pretty views from the neighborhood attractive while searching these out.

Trompe l' oeil is king. The decor is whimsical and clever, each room is different and has had a theatrical decorateur use his magic. Centuries-old houses in the Florentine stye have a new life in this unique place. The concierge is so cultured and knowledgeable that you wonder if he is not a magical illusion himself. History, culture, food, ask... More

I don't understand why this entry exists in a category in which it doesn't belong. As others have stated here, Cour Des Loges is a Hotel - not an attraction or a traboule with public access. (In fact there is a notice adjacent to the Hotel entrance which states that access is for Hotel guests only.) For this reason -... More

... mais très cher aussi ! This boutique hotel is located in a medieval building which has been lovingly transformed. It has all the elements of the style of Vieux Lyon. Unfortunately you cannot visit the hotel unless you are a guest, or willing to order a (very expensive) drink. Still, if you can get in it's more than worth... More

At the tourist office I booked the guided tour of Les traboules in the old town. The guide was very good. Once you know how to have access to les traboules, you can easily visit them yourself on the croix rouge (north). It is very special and worhwhile visiting.

"Traboules" is one thing and "Hotel Cour des Loges" is another. In Lyon, especially in the old town, one can go from one street to another by walking through the passageways built in the houses "traboules" (there are about 200 traboules all over Lyon). One could do so in the past, by now many of the main entrances of these... More

Luxiously restaured, this hotel is for stars or rich people, but the brasserie is very good and affordable.
