We had a great day with Jean-Pierre. I truly believe that the best way to see a city is with a local, and Jean-Pierre certainly knows Lyon like the back of his hand. We all felt as though we saw a lot of the city. We never felt rushed to complete the tour in 2 or 3 hours, and Jean-Pierre... More

I booked this service only 3 days before my requested date even though I had known that I should've booked AT LEAST 1 week before. But I booked anyway :) An email came right away that said my request was too hurry, but they would try their best to find a volunteer for me. What a nice reply! It was... More

We were in Lyon for a week and heard about this through some other people we met on a tour. I was lucky enough to book a walk on my last day in Lyon. We explored the traboules in the old town early on a Saturday morning. Some were locked at this time but exploring them with noone else around... More

Located to the east of the Saone River, this old part of Lyon is very interesting with its hilly part and its signaturetraboule. Traboule is basically alley (most of it is covered) between old apartments building. These traboules were used by people to get to their homes quickly to the river to the river bank. And also by silk merchants... More

Lyon offers many interesting aspects, but what we found the most interesting was the free service offered by the City of a volunteer who spends a few hours showing points of interests: wall paintings, traboules, markets, history... This can be accessed by the city website and is great.

Just returned from Lyon and have to recommend this service that is provided free of charge by volunteers. We had a wonderful lady called Pascaline. She was both knowledgable and courteous and was a mind of information about this beautiful city. We would definitely recommend anyone to use this service.

I was very fortunate to have Bernard as my Lyon Greeter. This is a free service and Bernard spend at least 3 hours walking around the city and pointing out particular sights. Bernard was very knowledgable and without his expertise I would never have found all the Traboules that are in the city. I can't recommend this service enough!!

We only had one day in Lyon and had previously organised a Lyon City Greeter tour specifically to see the area of the Silk Weavers. Our guide Jean Pierre was so delightful and his enthusiasm for his city was so refreshing. We saw so much in our few hours than we would have seen in a few days on our... More

Just back from Lyon vacations and still in that holidaying mode.. So fanatical was the experience. Lyon is truly an exceptional French city and booking with a agency like crystal for the first time turned out to be an absolute value for money. A visit to Lyon's bars and restaurants was indeed a delight besides the comfy budget hotels in... More
