Our four year old loved the ropes course and zip line but found the caving simulator far too scary. Its lovely up there!

We spent a few hours above the city at the Bastille. If nothing else, it is worth a trip up just for the view. It is fabulous; even though it was June we could still see snow covered mountain peaks! Enjoy lunch at the little sandwich shop for a relaxed meal with a view.

Went to Grenoble as a side trip before heading to Lyon. Going up to the Bastille was fantastic and what a view from the top - incredible. So cheap and cool to see. Well worth a visit.

The view from bastille to Grenoble is amazing, you can go there by telpheric or by trekking, each one is a good experience. From Bastille is possible to see "Le Mont Blanc".

As someone who is scared of heights I had to meet this head on. Thankfully there were no queues so I didn't have time to change my mind. At 7 euros for a return I couldn't even claim it was too expensive. I am so glad I did it, the views were amazing, we had a pod to ourselves on... More

The views of Grenoble from the Bastille are breathtaking. We recommend taking the cable car up and walking down.

We took the Téléphérique to Grenoble-Bastille - and were rewarded with the most incredible panoramic views of the city of Grenoble and surrounding mountains! Had a meal in the restaurant which also has the same amazing views from a shady terrace. Good food - reasonable prices - good service.

Your on top of the world here at the Bastille!! If you are traveling with children, they have put in an extensive zip line and course here. Although, I do have mixed feelings about this relic being scaled on and zip lined down by hundreds of people everyday, everyone was having fun.
