Superb location and easy access from Grenoble, Valence or Lyons Many landscapes, spectacular mountain views we recommand: charming village of Gresse, with hiking/snow shoes tracks plus views on the Grand Veymont cross country skiing from Meaudre - nice family atmosphere excursions from Corrençon (all kinds in summer and winter) in addition from more prestigioues sites such as Villard de Land... The national park is all about mountains. If you are a person that like hiking and tracking, then it is a good choice. You will see the park while traveling to Grenoble.

It was just a 7km hike, but it was enough to check that the sights are magnificent and that the Park is very well organized. There are many signs indicating distances & places.

The landscapes, the people and the FOOD ! The regional specialties are terrific, from the incredible cheeses to the jams and the breads, the pastries, as well as the wines.... It's a good thing there's a lot of walking to do, otherwise one could <balloon> very quickly.

We were travelling from the Alps to Provence and wanted to spend the day driving through the Vercors and had done a lot of research on the best route to take. We spent the night before in Grenoble as we wanted to maximize our driving in the Vercors. This turned out to be one of the highligts of 2 weeks... More

Amazing area of greenery. Narrow roads which could be a problem and the sat nav helps too. Don't be in a rush.

This is a niouce place to visit and relax on a day trip on weekend when you are in Grenoble. It's bit far from main city centre (I went by car, but saw some guys cycling on that way), The way towards this place is really great with green meadows and small hills on both sides. Also I really liked... More

the total ambiance of the Vercors plateau is exceptional. A must for any visitors to Grenoble. You can take a public bus up to Lans en Vercors, or to Corençon, Villard de Lans. Spend time hiking, biking, skiing in this scenic region. Be sure to enjoy local gastronomy too.
