It was just a 7km hike, but it was enough to check that the sights are magnificent and that the Park is very well organized. There are many signs indicating distances & places.

The landscapes, the people and the FOOD ! The regional specialties are terrific, from the incredible cheeses to the jams and the breads, the pastries, as well as the wines.... It's a good thing there's a lot of walking to do, otherwise one could <balloon> very quickly.

We spent the night before in Grenoble as we wanted to maximize our driving in the Vercors. This turned out to be one of the highligts of 2 weeks... More

Amazing area of greenery. Narrow roads which could be a problem and the sat nav helps too. Don't be in a rush.

This is a niouce place to visit and relax on a day trip on weekend when you are in Grenoble. the total ambiance of the Vercors plateau is exceptional. A must for any visitors to Grenoble. You can take a public bus up to Lans en Vercors, or to Corençon, Villard de Lans. Spend time hiking, biking, skiing in this scenic region. Be sure to enjoy local gastronomy too.

We love to hike here when visiting family in Grenoble. After hiking we have a drink and shop in Villard-de-Lans which is a charming mountain town.
