We engaged Happy Tracks Chamonix to plan and guide us on a 2 days 1 night hike around Chamonix. Lac Blanc was something we wanted to see and photograph (based on the photos we've seen), and specifically either at sunrise or sunset. And our guide Anja worked it into our route seamlessly. We took the ladders path up from Argentiere... More

We did a hike all the way from Col de Montets to Lac Blanc which took approximately 5.5 hours round trip. It was steep in the beginning but once we gained some elevation, had epic views along the rest of the route. It was well worth the long hike and Lac Blanc is an absolutely beautiful setting to behold!

The best thing to do is ride up to the top and hike down to the Lac and then down again. Bring a lunch and just sit and enjoy the Lac. There is food up at the top.

Thiis was a challenging 4 hour trek from Chamonix in the sun but worth it when you get to the top and have a reward from the cafe and chill by the Lake. Mountain rescue turned up to rescue, funny that, (not us for a change) and that added extra drama to the occasion. We hung around for about 30... More

We passed by during our Tour de Mont Blanc. Lovely spot. Would have loved to spend the night, but it was booked. We had hot chocolate and a delicious, generous, expensive piece of pie, but the best pie I had in all the refuges.

This hike is very pretty, has amazing views (obviously), and wasn't too long, but it was rocky. We didn't have proper hiking boots and had to be careful, but it was still doable in running shoes and made for an excellent afternoon hike.

We hiked up to Lac Blanc from Argentiere. An awesome ascent, about 3 hours worth of hiking, apparently the 'ladder trail' is a little quicker, we opted for what we thought would offer more scenery. The trail started just behind the bakery in Argentiere, very easy to find and well marked all the way. About 40 minutes up you'll hit... More

We took the gondola up from La Flegere and then made the ascension up to Lac Blanc. It was a good 2-2.5 hour hike for me, my first time out on such a venture. Yes, the views are spectacular. There were some moments that were quite unnerving for me, especially the part up from the lake to the refuge itself.... More

this walk never ceases to impress, the views across to Mt Blanc are awesome. In the summer there is a little cabin that serves great food to top a perfect day

Took the Flegere cable car and then the chairlift to start, well marked trails, and half way see Lac Blanc where you can picnic, or buy your lunch
