We climbed Mt Blanc on August 28th and enjoyed a splendid view over half of the alps. The clamp itself is demanding if the weather (as nearly everyday in 2014) is changing rapidly. We found hard and icy conditions on the gouter ridge and strong winds ranging up to 100km/h all over the mountain.

We took the lift up to the top. Amazing views...but a bit pricey. If you're like us...this was the only time we'll be there. It was a must do for us....take it easy when you get up there. It's very high...and the altitude will get you if you're not careful. We did not walk the final steps to the very... More

I climbed the summit together with a friend at the middle of June. We wanted to avoid the crowd that is coming starting a few weekd later. For example at tette rouse we were 2 tents and 2 weeks after I saw pictures with app 40 tents. This is the nicest mountain I climbed until now. There are a lot... More

When in Chamonix, weather was really bad, rainy, cold, snow in the mountains. It looked it wouldn't be possible to climb the Mont Blanc. Luckily, weather get a bit better and we could have tried that - successfully. To stand on the roof of Europe is a breathtaking feeling (literally :-))

We visited the Mont Blanc when we visited several European countries by ourselves. We took the bus from Geneva with the local one day tour to the Mont Blanc. I had been to many mountains around world before, but this one is worth to visit. You should bring some food like sandwiches or fruit eat on the mountain top and... More

This was the trip on our holiday I was most excited about seeing. We chose our day carefully as the weather had been a bit mixed. The day we visited was basically sunny, with some low level cloud at the midpoint change in cable cars. We then climbed through the cloud to glorious sunshine. Views are spectacular from all the... If you are looking for a magnificent view of the mountains in France and Italy, this is the spot. Breathtaking! The first day we were there it rained in town and snowed on the top of the mountain. We went to the top and you hardly see anything through the snow but the next day we ventured again. While it... More

this was the trip of the holiday. We were so lucky with the weather, Chamonix in sunshine, cloud midway up, second cable car took us through the cloud into brilliant sunshine. Yes it wasn't cheap but still worth it. Advice - keep an eye on the weather, if possible book tickets in advance so that you don't have to queue... More
