I was bit nervous about hiking down the ice path but it went easier than I thought. I loved the tour and it was my first real off piste experience. Every skier is dreaming about fresh snow and making your "mark"on the snow, well here it's possible. I am happy we did it!! It was a tough run and it... More

this is a blast and you don't have to be technically great. your guide can get you down easily as an intermediate. don't worry about the ridge climb down. its easier than it looks. lots of great terrain. ski inside and outside of crevasses. find fresh tracks when you can't imagine there being any because so many people ski this.... We waited 5 days to do this famous ski excursion over 23 kms of spectacular glacier and mountain skiing. This is for experienced skiers able to ski on any type of snow conditions. It is quite the most remarkable experience which should be on every experienced skier's "bucket list".

Went with a guide which makes all the difference. The hike down from the tram is intimidating but having watched it on YouTube I knew what to expect. We had new snow so the glacier skiing was superb but be aware of the rocky bottom of the run off the glacier and the hike out. Might be better to ask... More

We come back every few years and Each time it has been different. Definitely getting more crowded but with a guide you will find some unpopulated parts. The arête at the start is safe (particularly if roped to a guide) but scary scary ( particularly the year when the "safety" handrail rope was below knee level ) . My advice... More

Only venture onto this ski slope if you have no fear of heights and are a strong skiier. Our guide carried all our skies do the narrow path while the other people were trying to navigate down with their skies strapped onto their backs.

As a snowboarder with ~10 weeks of experience on the snow I have mixed feelings about VB. On the one hand, it really is absolutely majestic. You're out there surrounded by the famous peaks away from the masses - just you, your party, and your guide. It's wonderful. You bump into other groups from time to time, the guides tend... More

Wow, that pretty much sums it up. After 15 years on the bucket list, I boarded the Vallee Blanche, claimed to be the longest run in the world, last March. Fantastic day out. The local guide was excellent and very professional. Tips and lessons learned are below. 1. Don't snowboard the Vallee Blanche. Narrow channels and half-pipes where your speed... More
