Wow, that pretty much sums it up. After 15 years on the bucket list, I boarded the Vallee Blanche, claimed to be the longest run in the world, last March. Fantastic day out. The local guide was excellent and very professional. Tips and lessons learned are below. 1. Don't snowboard the Vallee Blanche. Narrow channels and half-pipes where your speed... More

LOVED this!! My husband and I first visited L'Aiguille du Midi in the summer of 1998 and were awestruck! We returned in 2005 and hired a wonderful guide who led us across the Vallee Blanche from L'Aiguille du Midi into Italy, roped together and in crampons, and then returned by gondola. One of the most fantastic experiences of my life!

If you get the chance to cross this valley it is amazing. The glacier is an amazing place to be and the views you have from below is just incredible

if you book a mixed group with a guide the pace of the other guests can be annoying, but it is the best value option.

When our 10-year old was good enough off-piste I couldn't wait to book at Chamonix to do the Vallée Blanche. It is 21 km of great experience. Less beautiful than the Grands Montets, in our view, but something one must have done. There are people up there at 3800m really not knowing what they are doing, and yes every year... More

Fantastic scenery, great powder, good guides and plenty of sun. A perfect way to spend a full day skiing!

Okay the view is nice, but really no skiing. Two third of it is flat, the rest is very basic (green / blue level...)... And then you have to walk up to Montenvers.

Superb day out. The scenery is fantatstic. You need to be a good competent skier but not expert. The guide will pick a route according to your ability. Don't put it off any longer - just do it.

My first visit to Chamonix. Very happy that I chose this hotel. Friendly service. Centrally located, convenient to restaurants, shops, etc. Recently renovated room, nicely decorated. Small, but not cramped like my room in Paris. Very convenient to have breakfast in the bar on site. Ma première visite à Chamonix. Très heureux que j'ai choisi cet hôtel. Le service est... More

We went with a guide from Compagnie des guides de Chamonix-Mont Blanc. A fabulous day but you must be able to ski moguls!
