If you are near Geneva - Lac Leman or Chamonix and you are fond of mountains and high altitudes, spend a day and visit Chamonix. The best case scenario is to visit the summit during a shinny day, without low-altitude clouds or fog. Try to schedule your visit there while you are having in mind that it is the #1... More

Forget the cost. Forget the height. Just get on the cable car and go! A top tip is to get off at the first stop. Spend 20mins or so there. This will help with the altitude when you get to the top. Even then, take it slow when you get there. You can be fit as anything, but you will... More

The most important thing is that you need to go on a bright sunny day when there are no clouds. The weather forecast of chamonix official site comes to your aid and should be used when planning a trip to Aiguille de Midi. It is an experience which cannot be missed.

Excellent trip, not to be missed! Beware taking small children up as they will most likely experience breathing difficulties. Be sure to wander around all the tunnels, there are other lifts and viewing platforms to explore.

The panorama is stunning, while you ascend by the Téléférique: you get to more than 3800 mt, and can walk around the peak of the Aguille. White in white, it seems you can fly, and at your feet you see the valley of Chamonix

My wife and I decided to take the kids up to Aiguille De Midi on a beautiful clear day this May. All I can say is wow what a trip, I hate heights but after semi conquering my fears I stepped on the cable car and climbed to the very top. The views were amazing and the experience of being... More

You must pay 50E to get the telecabin .I cannot describe what you will see. It's absolutely amazing the hole view of the mountains. You can go anywhere for ski but THE Aiguille de Midi is only here.

Amazing ride up the mountain from Chamonix via the Telepherique (cablecar) to L'Aiguille du Midi, perched on a granite spire below the summit of Mont Blanc. The views are stunning. The entire North Western Alps are visible, including the distinctive Matterhorn in the distance. You can look down into Italy, and North to Switzerland and Germany. The icefields for two... More

Make sure you try and go on a calm and clear day to get the most out of your 50 euros. If you fear heights this is not something you should do. The gondola ride up is packed full of people but goes quickly. There are two platforms, middle and top. Both have great spots to enjoy the views. You... More

Not to be missed and there are no words to describe this experience. Excellent is an understatement and its amazing to be able to get up there so easily (well, if you close your eyes that is ....but then you miss the awesome views). Highly recommended.
