We stopped at Chamonix for an hour on our way to our chalet in Les Houches and were very impressed with this bustling beautiful French village. Many buildings appeared to be new and were adorned with vast flower boxes bursting with petunias which against the view of Mt Blanc was breath taking. The glaciated waters of the Arve river carved their... What can one say of Chamonix and Mont Blanc. It is a truly beautiful city, with fantastic shops, Restaurants, spectacular views and friendly people. What perhaps makes this special place even better is the many other visitors from across the Globe you meet and share those extra special moments with.

Such a nice, lovely, sweet village. Fell in love with Chamonix immediately with its breathtaking weather, nice little shops, best ice cream I have ever tasted out there, Mont Blanc and people out there are very nice! Had a lovely Irish coffee from Irish Coffee haha. Unfourtunetly, it was impossible going to mont blanc that day cause it was super... More

There is place on the top of mountain, a restaruant with a view that one would never forget, the city is a small town, with little street and sometimes difficult to park, there is a parking lot within the station to go up the mountain

Amazing feeling after reaching the l'aguile di midi. It worth visitng the place in France better than Paris. The road trip towards Chamonix from Lyon is the best that i have ever seen and enjoyed. The nature, the architecture, the roads, the tunnels, the mountains it feels so lively and amazing. Words cannot express my feelings towards Chamonix.

I went to the 1 day tour of Chamonix, Mount Blanc and the Sea of Ice Glacier (forgot the French name) in beginning of March 2014. It was heavily snowing at that time. The ride to the top of the mountain was great and though the view was partly cloudy, it was spectacular with great views of alpine glaciers hugging... More

What sight from the ground, only gets better from the top. Not being a climber, we rode the gondolas to the top and were rewarded when the gondola broke through the clouds into brilliant sunshine. When you arrive at the top, you have to take a very short ride in another lift to reach the highest point and have the... More

Chamonix is one of those magical (sports) venues, both summer, winter, spring and fall. Of course it is best known for skiing, but summer hiking is equally as popular and just as spectacular. In summer or winter, take the tram ride to the top to catch the entire view. Not really being sporty anylonger, it is the view of Mt... More

We thoroughly enjoyed not only the natural beauty of this site, but the hiking was good exercise. The price of tram to get there was a bit steep (no pun intended) at 38€. The village was also very charming with plenty of cafés and shops to be entertained after our hike. Our one complaint that even though the ice cave... More

We took the Chamonix Mont Blanc bus tour out of Geneva. It was very well organized by the "Key Tours" operator, and I highly recommend this company. Everything was very clear and efficient. The landscape is beyond beautiful with all these snow and ice covered mountains... But there are two important points I want to make in order you knew... More
