On a beautiful sunny day, our Chamonix-Mont Blanc tour was an experience to cherish. Don't miss the cable car ride up to the Mid-day Needle and the cog train to the Sea of Ice glacier.

Booked trip to 'see alps', take lifts, wear warm clothes. Snowed so much visibility was severely limited: in Chamonix could not see that there were mountains. Avalanche risk 4/5, upper lifts closed. Meanwhile , snow melt in lower areas!! Lift up, could not see anything except trees as we approached. Still, ski and snowboard folk out in droves, many languages,... More

Excellent resort for very good intermediates to experts, not an area for beginners or early intermediates nor for the nervous, this is an ski area that has challenges almost everywhere you look. That said, there are areas for the less experienced, just not very many. The views from everywhere including the village are spectacular and the village still keeps a... More

Having returned from my first trip to Chamonix and was wowed! Beautiful town, great places to eat and stunning scenery. The snow was good although everyone wanted more but that did not stop the fun. First time skiing and loved it!

One of the best ski towns in the Alps, surrounded by several disconnected ski fields that unfortunately include only a few express lifts. But piste grooming was better than had expected based on other reviewers on the Internet, and lifties were much friendlier than any we experienced in Germany, Italy or Switzerland.

Lovely town - great access to skiing, full of restaurants and pubs. Lovely pedestrian only areas, easy to get lost in the village so take a map.

I took a special mini bus from Geneva to Chamonix (@ 1hr journey) and spent a day in this wonderful little village. I took a cable car up to the top of Augillie du Midi, one of the Mont Blanc peaks, around 12000 feet up, with 2 cable car transfers to get to the top. Dress warmly since it's COLD... More
