A stunning lake with crystal clear waters. We spent our evenings walking for hours along the perimeter, and we'd barely covered a quarter of the actual lake! Lots of seating options along the perimeter, if all you want to do is watch a sunset set to the soundtrack of noisy ducks and geese :)

Only 35 km from Geneva, Annecy is simply amazing. The mountains are dusted with snow in winter, the air is crisp and there is plenty to see and do. We had a leisurely lunch followed by a long walk along the lake. Stunning

Stunning, with the mountains on the back, the little piers, the birds, the clear waters. either on a sunny day or a cloudy one, or even by night, the lake is a beautiful scenery to behold

This is one of those ones where you want to write a review because everyone should know about Annecy and its lake, but actually I don't want to write a review because I don't want everyone to know about Annecy and its lake... I have been going to Annecy for the past 25 years and it never fails to recharge... More

I won't write too much...this place is pure peace The colours of the water are the caraibic seas ones, the place is usually silent and the mountain range is a perfect background.

Drove round the lake on our way to Chambery and then took a boat cruise on the lake the day after. Some beautiful small villages dotted along the shore, many of which are worth a visit. The backdrop is stunning with snow capped peaks and stunning scenery. I can't think of a better way of spending time on a Sunday,... More

My husband and I were staying in Geneva and did a day trip by bus to the charming town of Annecy. By chance we were there on market day, which was a stroke of luck. We loved shopping the many stalls of local foods, clothing and sundries, even though the narrow streets were crowded with others doing the same. Market... More

Loved every minute of the day we spent there! Annecy is a place to visit no debate. It took us 1h 20 min bus ride from Geneva. After visiting the city, the castle, the narrow descent from the pic through the lovely old houses, an the Little French Venice dream-like area, we allocated our afternoon to the Lake, loving the... The best part about Annecy! the photos don't really do justice to the lake & its surroundings. We saw the lake at different times, from a cold morning walk to a sunny afternoon & a surreal winter twilight. One of our favourite experiences on the France trip!

Lake Annecy is like nowhere else I've ever been before. The feeling of swimming in this clean, relaxing lake with the incredible views of the surrounding mountains is truly unique. There are also many other things to do around the lake, such as cycling, walking, kayaking and renting pedalos, as well as nice shops, restaurants and ice cream stands.
