Beautiful!

The lake with the Alps rising on the east side is spectacular. It is very pleasant whether by motorcar or boat. We are on our 4th trip here.

The lake is surrounded by footpaths within parkland on the edge of the town and a stroll is a very pleasant way to pass a couple of hours, The water is crystal clear and the views of the surrounding mountains are splendid.

I've been to Annecy in high and low season. If you do not have children go early spring or in September/October - it is very beautiful, great walks, restaurants and not too busy. In the height of the summer it gets very packed and quite loud, however it is so much fun for adventurous adults and children alike. Lots to... More

Actually we ended up in Annecy as accommodations was cheaper to visit west Swiss (Geneva ~ 40kms) Never expected it will be so much fun. It has no less activities than Interlaken and cheaper. The view of the lake from Le Champs de Mars is just amazing u will sit for hours enjoying the view. Take the Boat cruise 2hrs... More

Unlike my review of Lake Geneva this is a lovely body of water with pretty interlocking canels of water. It may not have the WOW FACTOR of Venice but it's a hidden gem.

Loved this little town with cute buildings and a beautiful lake! The l'imperial palace hotel was outstanding! The lake view room is a must! You can't get over the view of the picturesque lake! The walk around the lake and the garden is amazing! The old town is a must visit! All the restaurants and bars on the street have... More

We took a day trip from Geneva by bus. While I had seen photos on the internet nothing prepared me for discovering this beautiful place in person. I would recommend getting a map before arrival as the streets are not well sign posted. You follow the crowds and eventually work out the geography but a map would certainly make it... More

I find it prettier than Lake Leman and Lake du Bourget, the two closest larges lakes. It is surrounded by mountains, and touches the nice city of Annecy.
