Thermal baths x 2 sited on hilltop above town over a natural fissure that releases steam and heated water. Baths both External & internal. Good complex, well organised. Love the steam bath (Hammam) where you sit and marvel in the sounds and smells of the natural steam.

No children under 5 so perfect. Lots of areas to relax in and the outdoor area fabulous with circular pool current and to swim in warm water in winter with snow around. Fabulous

With online material about the baths conflicting and google maps wrongly indicating the location it is not an entirely straightforward task to find the 'Thermes'. We eventually found our way by walking up the hill against the trail of damp-haired retiree spa-goers descending into town... Upon arrival the initial customer service was clear and polite (if you speak French) and... More

I went there with three girlfriends and we didn't really know what to expect. We got there and paid our 19 euros and we're then given robes and towels. We didn't reserve any treatments but instead relaxed in the thermal pool, saunas and hammans. There is also a normal pool outside to refreshen yourself. Overall I'd say it was a... More

Paid 19 euros each for entry to the thermal sulphur spa which, incidentally, has been moved from the centre of Aix les Bains to just outside to a newer location. The new Spa was very impressive, I didn't have time to book a treatment and it appeared these were best booked in advance as they seemed very busy (and quite... More

As an Australian - well we have a different type of massage. Do not expect this experience to be the same - and it is an experience. It does not matter what sort of massage you get - you will remember it.... Remember your bathing cap if you wish to take the waters - there are some fun ones around... More

We were there again, after more or less one year. In the meantime, the Thermes changed ownership and are now run by a private Company. Even if the generale rules (cap, no bermuda) remained the same, the reception and the lobby are changed: now, two different queues are available for people who want enter the Relax Area (Espace Bien-etre) and... Would have been nice to try the baths but unfortunately we had our kids with us. No one under 12 admitted! Boo!

We reserved a complete spa treatment for my husband and myself, expecting a relaxing day of rejuvenation on our trip to France. We were led to an area that really looked more like a hospital, with the attendants wearing white nurses uniforms. Nobody was particularly friendly. Our treatments were completely bizarre. If you like getting hosed down with a fire... More

I was a bit surprised to have to buy a swimming cap (very fetching black and white number) and a pair of tight fitting swimming trunks (they are obsessed with preventing hair getting into the water I think!). The bill for 2 of us was therefore Euro 55 which as a one off is a bit steep. Ho hum -... More
