We decided up the mont Faron on a Sunday based on the review from trip advisor and I must admit this one of the best afternoon we spent on our holiday in the south of France . The views are breath taking and the slow ascent makes you greatly appreciate the view of Toulon and far away too. We had... More

If you are vsiting Toulon, we recommend going on the Telepherique to Mont Faron. At the Tourist Office in Toulon, you can buy day tickets for 6 Euro that includes unlimited bus travel around Toulon, unlimited boat-bus travel to the nearby islands AND includes the Telepherique. They will tell you which bus goes to the Telepherique. We went with children... More

On a clear day do use the cablecar and enjoy the marvellous views across the bay and down the coast. Once you are up there the paths are not well made or signed. There are picnic tables amidst the trees and a couple of cafes. With a bit more effort this could be made into a much better and longer... More

We went to the Mont Faron with cable car and it was a funky ride with a Fantastic view over Toulon harbour and surroundings. On top a expensive little restaurant, a museum for the 2 w.w. And a zoo.

Fantastic view of the bay and valley. We were cruising the riviera so had researched ports of call and the Toulon cable car looked attractive. Our research said it was 7 Euros, but we were told at the information desk to go to tourist information for joint bus & cable car ticket. Combined return ticket 6 euros! and it's about... More

Get a l'jour telepherique ticket from tourist office. Bus 40 was fab. Attendant superb but quiet. Lovely views from top of cable car line. Museum closed for lunch (and Monday!). Picnic area au naturel but quiet and peaceful. One cafe open.

Bought tickets at the tourist information center in the central market area. Took the city bus which is across the street from the tourist information center to the tram. About a 15 minute bus ride, the bus stop is a half block from the tram station. The gondola cars are old and sways in the wind. The views are great... More

If you have the time and the weather is good I would recommend going up the Télépherique at Mont Faron, the views are stunning from the top and there are several walks through the woods that allow different vistas. There are Cafés and a shop and restaurant for refreshment. A great way to see the coastal views. Buses do run... More
