Don't visit St Remy just to see this!

If you happen to be in St Remy, it is interesting to see this landmark of such a world famous man. But it is disappointing that it is nothing more than a very modest house facade.

Only a plate on a facade of a very common building completely restored remembers the Birth place of Nostradamus. Nothing else.

it was just standing outside his home, and the tour guide did share a lot of information, but that was about it. A great town to see so no down side to the overall experience of St. Remy.

The birthplace of Nostradamus is a small house on a crooked alley in Saint-Rémy. If it has ever open to public, we could not tell. It appeared to be just a small private house with a plaque outside. I enjoyed reading the info on the plaque, but I don't believe there is anything else to see or do.

In the later eighties, while on a Vincent Van Gogh study of St Remy, I happened upon a corner with a small and simple dwelling that had a simple plaque something along the order of, "Casa Nostrodomo". An elderly woman sat outside and noticed my interest and confusion. "Would you like to come inside and look around?" Overjoyed at the... More

This was just a house that Nostradamus once lived. There really is not so much about this place. But what i enjoyed is the trip towards it. We were on a tour bus and we came from Arles. The route towards Saint Remy was very scenic and i just loved the rustic and small town atmosphere. It was a sunday... More
