Great wines and brandies, and also, as an add-on, exceptional olive oil and home-made preserves.

Located in a secluded property in the Alpilles mountains near St-Rémi, its grape fields and olive trees are what accompany you to the castle. The place, while relatively modern, is breathtaking and as one walks in the main cellar, its pristine beauty and charm will seduce you. Great wines (red, white and rosé), which you can taste at leisure, exceptional... More

We were visiting Arles for the day and had a Chateau Romanin wine with lunch. As we were heading back through Provence, we stumbled upon their vineyard. We had to stop and we are thrilled we did. From the main road near St Remy, the Chateau is not visible. But it is well signed. Once you turn in, you have... More

For a relatively new vineyard, the wines were impressive. Worth a visit to see the cellar built into a hill, great architecture and engineering. Young lady who showed us around an conducted a tasting was delightful and helpful.

Beginning with the long drive through the vineyard past a herd of goats, which blocked the road for a while to the chateau. Upon entering we were met by a very nice gentleman, who he said was in the French navy for 7 years. He asked us if we would like a tour of the winery, unlike other wineries who... More

The grounds are amazing and feature remains of the ancient castle, which the public can walk around. The tasting room feels more Napa- new, big, retail ready, but the exception is they will pour you a taste of any of their maybe 12 wines. The make a variety of wines and variety of price points. The staff were friendly and... More

We have a second home in Provence and Chateau Romanin has been one of our favorite Provençal wineries for many years. Today we went wine gathering (having just arrived in Provence for the summer) and were totally put off by their slick, new, modernized tasting room. In addition to repeatedly trying to be up sold by our glib hostess (we... More

We visited Chateau Romanin in August whilst staying in Saint Remy. We wanted to visit a truly local vineyard and this fitted the bill perfectly. The drive through the vineyard is spectacular with rows and rows of vines leading up the dramatic hillside. The distance markers are quite amusing, the first off the main road saying 900m...more like 2500m but... More

The Romanin wines are second to non and better than most in their price range. Once you pluck up the courage to drive along the gravel track to the cave in the mountain it is so much worth wile. Helpful staff. Go visit!

Being in France for the first time and a wine lover, I was very excited about visiting a winery in France. The Tourist Information Center in Saint Remy recommended Chateau Romanin. The vineyards are breath taking. However, I was so disappointed in the winery. To begin with, when we walked in, there was one lady behind the counter. She was... More

The tour of Chateau Romanin was very interesting. We got to see the actual process of turning grapes into wine. All the workers are very friendly and posed for pictures while working. After the tour, we went into the tasting room and enjoyed tasting four different wines. We all walked away with at least one bottle of great wine to... More
