Our group of friends rode the bus from Avignon. Very easy trip over to Saint Remy. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, wandering the streets and shopping. Food, clothing, linens, kitchen wares, decorative items. We also enjoyed a nice lunch at the Hotel Gounod, on the main square. Highly recommended.

As we wandered through the streets we picked up a few things and had some samples. We bought some cheese and the guy welcomed us to take a picture with him at his booth. The market was in the streets of the old city. Across the street in another open area was an additional flea market/clothes market. It was a... More

We enjoyed very much our Wednesday morning at the market. After having a very good coffee at one of the cafes on the main street, we walked several blocks at the outdoor market. They had many different types of products. A great variety of soaps, and many other products with the great lavender fragrance. The soaps are excellent and at... More

We walked into town for the Wednesday morning open-air market in St. Remy since we had been told there would not be enough parking spaces. We were amazed at the variety of food, clothing, accessories, household linens, jewelry, art, etc. that were available to purchase. It was quite crowded, but we did enjoy seeing the variety of goods. We purchased... More

The street was full of stalls along side. Bustling from food to nik naks. Along side restaurants with no tables available for lunch. Very enjoyable experience.

The market takes place on Wednesday in the center of the city. It was one of the most diverse, colorful and beautiful market I had visited in Europe. I was sorry it is closed at noon. You can stroll, buy, eat or drink or just listen to street-music or watch by passers. Do not miss it!

The market opens every Wednesday morning but closes early at 1200-1300. All types of old and new things to buy . A good way to explore the small streets of the nice town . Live music in some corners . Very colorful .

Yes, it was a bit crowded and touristy but we enjoyed wandering the streets and taking in all the colorful displays of food, soaps and textiles. The sights, smells and sounds were lively and there was a live jazz combo playing in the small square. Was a fun way to spend a Wednesday morning.

One of the joy when I was in Provence is going to its market day. Beautiful lively market, lots of fresh, beautiful produce. Stalls on Place de la Republique sell colths, soaps and other trinkets. The produce sections are toward the old town on Avenue de la Résistance (toward Rue Laffayete). .....And one of the town prominent shop name in... More

This was such a fun time strolling the streets of Saint Remy during this market day. We got there when they set up and stayed for hours. What a great slice of life!
