Plenty of restaurants, a big silent place, just a few meters from the quay. You can stay here and relax, enjoy a drink, a meal, a chat.

Whatever you are seeking to settle your appetite, this is the place in Marseille to find it. The only reason for me that it lost a spot from Excellent is right now the Harbour is going through so much construction that the area is not quite as nice as it will be when all is done.
if you're stuck for places to eat this is where to head. countless restaurants and bars here, this was vibing on weekend nights. Some are naturally better than others so obviously be sceptical about deals that seem too good to be true, but yeh, very nicely preserved old building and a nice space in the city centre.
A little cafe with tables & chairs on the steps, in the corner, sells the most amazing ice cream flavours! Get the ferry boat here across the river.
Last century this is place where the ships delivered oil and other stuffs. The old buildings surrounding the place have straight stairs to fourth level to let the donkey climb to the elevated storage rooms. Today, good restaurants are there.
