The building of the foundation is rather outrageous. A lot of modern art, which you like or not. Especially a lot of work from Joan Miro, the spanish artist.

What should have been a great collection in a beautiful setting was spoilt by the staff being dis-engaged with the visitors. Slouching about, more interested in their iPads. Also little information about what was on show.

This for me is the best modern art gallery I have visited, because of the overall experience. The gardens (which are immaculate) offer the perfect setting for the large scale sculptures with even the walls forming part of the art. Then there is the countryside itself and the surrounding mountains and forest which add to the effect along with the... More

We spent an lovely morning here enjoying the art, the architecture and the gardens of this private art foundation. You need good legs to walk up the hill from the village of St Paul de Vence. If you don't think you can do it then take a car as there's plenty of parking or catch a bus.

Our 2nd time and not disappointed. Always something to start a good conversation. Lunch at the onsite restaurant was also very good.

Right up the way from St. Paul de Vence is the magnificent Maeght Museum which houses one of the most impressive sculpture gardens I’ve ever seen including the Rodin in Paris. Dozens of Miro’s, Picasso’s, Giacometti's and huge Calder’s mark out their spots on several acres of rolling pineland. Inside are wonderful examples of modern painting. So impressive! This unusual small museum is in a pine woods on the edge of town. The outdoor displays were the best part! An amazing collection displayed very well.

We liked the art of Matisse, Giacommetti and the outdoor displays. The cafe is good value and does an excellent salad. We didn't like the fact that there is no reduced rate for seniors on entry.

I love the energy of the this space, the outdoor labyrinth, the café furnished by Giacometti. It is stunning.
