Don't be misled by the name - the Nice Opera hosts everything from symphony concerts, ballet, opera, and recitals. Check out the schedule of performances online before visiting Nice. Tickets are generally reasonably priced with orchestra seats, three levels of boxes, and three rows of seats on a fifth level. Be warned, though, that with the exception of the boxes... More

My wife and I attended an afternoon classical concert at the Opera on a cold day in late January. Though the music making was of good quality it was difficult to stay awake in the stifling air of our overcrowded box. The view of the performers was less than perfect from the back of the box (they sell indivual seats... More

I have had the pleasure to come here several times. This is an old and very beautiful Opera. Last week, 26th of december we saw the Ballet Soir de fête, Pas de dieux. The orchestra was great. The dancers were wonderful. Overall a great experience. I had to change the tickets and on the telephone the lady at the box... More

If you have some time, stop and check out the Opera de Nice. We booked tickets to a December ballet early, ahead of our visit. The theatre is historic with three levels of gallery seating that looks down on the acts or up to the stylish ceiling design. Between acts, stop in one of the small rooms with red velvet... More

I've only gone here once but it's in the old town, is a historic building, and has wonderful programming. Something is on, either opera, dance, or theater, each month. Buy tickets at the box office

I looked forward to visiting L,Opera and although the performance was exceptional there was no air conditioning in the upper area and the seats were extremelly uncomfortable. We were packed together and the heat became unbearable and we had to move seats to an area although roomy and cooler the view was compromised. Would have left if the performance had... More

It is a shame that such a beautiful building is not renovated inside. It looks like a beautiful old lady who had taken out of the wardrobe her old fashion dress and came out. The building has a an enormous potential but not used. Worth seeing it mostly on the outside.

This is the main beach of Nice which will be walking distance from most places you stay or you can catch the tram. The water is an amazing aqua blue, there a a couple of volleyball courts set up along the beach too which is great. Only this is being the South of France it is a rocky beach which... More

Love the ambiance but the comfort of the seats leave a lot to be desired. Take water (discreetly) with you and a fan if it is a warm day as it can get very hot and stuffy inside. Make sure you can see from the seat that you have paid for, like everywhere, some have restricted views. Lots of stairs... More

The building need some reparation, but is still very beautiful. We went to se the pkay of .dreyfus. The selectioon/buy if the tickets is very easy. And the price was very cheap, maybe was just luck. The staff is kind. They do 't speak english, but they try with signs to you to understan, ;) i liked my experience in... More
