I've only gone here once but it's in the old town, is a historic building, and has wonderful programming. Something is on, either opera, dance, or theater, each month. Buy tickets at the box office

I looked forward to visiting L,Opera and although the performance was exceptional there was no air conditioning in the upper area and the seats were extremelly uncomfortable. We were packed together and the heat became unbearable and we had to move seats to an area although roomy and cooler the view was compromised. Would have left if the performance had... More

It is a shame that such a beautiful building is not renovated inside. It looks like a beautiful old lady who had taken out of the wardrobe her old fashion dress and came out. The building has a an enormous potential but not used. Worth seeing it mostly on the outside.

This is the main beach of Nice which will be walking distance from most places you stay or you can catch the tram. The water is an amazing aqua blue, there a a couple of volleyball courts set up along the beach too which is great. Only this is being the South of France it is a rocky beach which... More

Love the ambiance but the comfort of the seats leave a lot to be desired. Take water (discreetly) with you and a fan if it is a warm day as it can get very hot and stuffy inside. Make sure you can see from the seat that you have paid for, like everywhere, some have restricted views. Lots of stairs... More

We went to a short Sunday morning matinee performance by the L'Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice which was a great way to visit the opera house and see a performance. The music was wonderful and greatly appreciated by a full house. Great to see so many people out taking advantage of the opportunity to listed to the orchestra play.

As much as the opera is beautiful to look at, seeing a performance is not the best. Might as well go for the best of seats if you want to enjoy it. Sitting in the levels gave me severe vertigo, we had to sit somewhere else. The top level is very limited and from the sides you cannot see a... More

If you are in Nice and have the opportunity to go to the Opera then you must. Apart from the many ballets, operas etc that you may have the chance to see, to visit the theatre itself is an amazing experience. It is like stepping back in time to a mini Albert Hall in London where almost every member of... More

This is a beautiful building, inside and out, worth a visit. It also has a great location and can be included in a tour of some of the different sites the city has to offer.
