My wife and I are elderly with limited mobility and the only way we were going to get round the old town or up to the Citadel was on this train (Bus tours don't go in narrow streets). Its wonderful, commentary in your own language, a rest stop at the top viewpoint, and the driver, seeing us struggle getting on... More

Really enjoyed this, so much we did it twice. It's free for young children and you get a reduction for adults if you get the Nice Riviera Card.

Much of the trip was through shabby back streets of Nice on some very bumpy roads. The drive to the castle hill was more interesting and the stop at the top gave a chance for an overview of Nice and a couple of photos. Commentary ( in various languages) was limited.

Did this shortly after we arrived, glad we did.. helped us identify some places we wanted to explore more later, and some we didn't want to. Was a cool way to get around town, go up to the castle for a 10min walk about, see a good chunk of Nice. and for only 8 euros, which almost paid for itself... More

Do hope this is the right land train. It ran from the centre of Nice Ville on Avenue Des Anglais. It was 8 Euros each for a one hour ride including 10 minutes at the castle. We went through all the small streets and up the winding road to the castle. We would never have done this without the train.... More

Loved this little train, we stopped off at the top of the hill and saw over Nice and the coastline, beautiful stunning place. Never thought I would like Nice as much but I would return for a stay there. Cruising gives a snap shot of were you might re visit, Nice is on my list. Wish we had more time... More

The train tour was billed as 45 minutes around the main attractions of Nice, but because of road works and closures on account of a visiting dignitary, our trip took an hour and a half. The highlight is the view from the terrace at the castle ruins in the park - absolutely stunning when the weather is fine. A headphone... More

We came upon this sight-seeing train (8 Eu pp) sitting on the seawall loaded with passengers. Fortunately, we were able to get on for the 10:30 AM tour. The ride was approximately forty-five minutes in length around various parts of Nice. And headphones were provide for commentary. The train, also, took us uphill to the site of former castle Colline... More

What a fun way to see Nice. Like the open top bus, you get headphones to listen to commentary. It only cost 8 euros for 45 minutes, which I thought was worth it alone to get to the top of Castle Hill :-) It starts and finishes on the Promenade.

Purist travellers will, I'm sure, cringe at the little tourist train but with just a couple of days in the city we wanted to see as much as possible. Having already done the open top bus tour much of the train journey was a duplicate, but with Nice being such a beautiful place with such stunning architecture, that's hardly a... More
