Vielle Ville is a very charming part of Nice. There are dozens of little streets and alleys to get lost in. Tiny shops and restaurants everywhere. There are almost too many choices. Don't miss the little Plazas and the local churches. Some of them look small and not worth the visit - but they are. Although the streets look too... More

We loved wandering the streets and laneways of the old town. There are so many interesting shops and eateries in this area. We had no definite destination so it was whatever took our fancy as to which laneway we would explore. There were at this time of the year some empty shops but also some very good crafty shops. We... Quaint shops, lots of variety and a real nicoise feel, don't miss the markets in the main square, especially the antique market and lots of surrounding cafes to people watch.

Port day in Monaco and visited Nice which was close by. The flea market was there that day instead of the usual flower market. Nice items but most were too exoensive for my budget. Delightful old town with lovely buildings and history.

A warren of arrow streets, artisan shops, plenty of food options, but somewhat geared for and often over-run by tourists. Enjoyable all the same, and a must-see when in Nice.

The old town is a wonderful collection of small shops, surperb restaurants and of course the Cours Salya morning markets. It is so easy to just take a day to meander through the streets, view the historic old architecture and to sample the wares of the artisans and delicatessans that dot the area.

Nice is one of the places that you really just need to wander around the narrow streets and get lost. The old history of the Old Town is marvelous, full of beauty and culture. There are lots of small shops and cafes lining the streets that beg you to come in for a croissant. It's very easy to get turned... More
