Old Town Nice is a must see when in the French Riviera. This was our second visit and enjoyed it more than the first. You need to give yourself at least half a day here as there's just so much to do. There's no shortage of restaurants and food stands, where you can get many varieties of ethnic foods, not... More

Really enjoyed the Old Town, plenty of places to eat and a really nice atmosphere. Usual array of souvenir shops. Worth a visit. Can get lost up and down the little alleyways.

What a charming little old town. absolutely lovely, full of life.. restaurants, tourists, locals, dancers..etc There were quite a few very nice art shops/galleries, each had its own unique art. food was really good... ice cream at Fenocchios was so yum with so many different flavours. The place is also not far from the museum of modern art which is... More

Quite easy to lose your bearings for a while as you meander through the alley ways and go in and out of the shops studding the way. Lots of great (and not so great) restaurants and cafes are interspersed with tacky souvenir shops (which sell useful cheap beach essentials, like cushioned mats and surfer booties to protect you from the... Tall buildings, narrow pedestrianised cobbled streets, lots of little specialty shops with handmade soaps, wooden toys, spices, greengrocers etc. .Great flower/fruit and veg market in old town every day except Monday when it hosts a flea market. Pay to use most public toilets in Nice , so have coins 20/50 ready.

Old town was my favourite part of Nice. Its narrow streets & tall buildings make it really pretty, as well as a welcome break from the hot summer sun of Nice. There's a large number of restaurants and bars to choose from.

We entered this quaint neighborhood from the Place Girabaldi (or at least we walked through it on the way to the pseudo-subterranean entrance to this charming narrow maze of leaning house-holds).

Well worth a visit. Literally hundreds of restaurants, bars, shops and historical building and churches. This place certainly has a 'buzz' about it. It is a magnet for huge crowds of people and often so many that you cannot move. Taking extra care of personal property would be my advice - although we did not encounter any problems and it... More

The old town is so charming that to plan the day would be wrong. Wander about, do a little café hopping, and allow the charms of the narrow streets of the old town to dictate your day.
