I went for a 'morning' walk in Old Town at 9 am. I left at 5 pm. No joke. For anyone who loves photography be prepared, take your memory cards and full batteries. You won't be disappointed. The old buildings, details, views, streets and lane ways are awesome. The light changes creating new opportunities constantly especially on a cloudy day.... More

The old town is packed and while great for those who like a buzzing feel, it's narrow and usually packed streets can be very noisy and a bit overwhelming for those who prefer it quieter. There are quieter streets towards the castle hill and it is generally quieter in the mid afternoon or on Sunday. Rossetti place is a great... More

This is a must do, but quite predictable. VERY CROWDED , due to time of year. Restaurants seem touristy, but we went to two that were fun. A maze of cobbled streets w dozens of small souvenir shops. Tons of people, very lively.

Avoid the tourist traps in the main roads. Venture into the small streets and discover the real treasures!

Guess what! 90% of the streets of the extended old town are car free!!! A real fenomena in a country like France in which private cars can be driven and parked everywhere... Therefore, the pleasure for walking in it is total.

The market saves the day as the rest is total tourist tat. The restaurants and shops by the 100s spoil the area. Sadly, that's what happens. It doesn't seem to deter the hordes though
