After visiting the Christmas market, we decided to see the old town. After half a day of exploring, we haven't even scratched the surface. Lots of bakeries, cafes, and other shops all over, the many intersecting streets have so many interesting things to see and do.

Great place to stroll around and enjoy the shops, cafes and views. Close to most major hotels and has some very nice shops with friendly service everywhere.

Great place to hang out at night - pretty, small streets, full of restaurants and cafes serving great food and wine - crowded with merry people. Great for a stroll or dining

The place was magical, the decorations for Christmas made it special. Plenty of narrow roads to wander around with great cute shops and wonderful restaurants, it's a lovely charming place. Service everywhere was polite and friendly, we will have to go back as it stole my heart!

Nice is fortunate to have a beautiful and interesting old quarter, where locals and tourists rub shoulders among the authentic, the charming and the downright exploitive. Figuring out which is which is part of the fun. Take the time to stroll through and you'll find quaint little restaurants, artists' ateliers, and quirky clothing shops. There's a great flower market in... More

The old town of Nice is my favorite part of this city. It's very charming, you always get lost in them and end up finding something new in the little streets. This is the best place to go for a meal or drinks, as you have a lot of variety and unlike the restaurants in Rue de France (which are... More

Narrow streets. Full of shops and cafés. Beware of tourist traps as you might find similar things in other areas of nice.

We spent two weeks in Nice, staying in an apartment in Vielle Ville. The narrow, winding streets, lined with restaurants, cafes and all sorts of shops, plus the many fascinating artists workshops and galleries were great to explore. The flower market and the fruit and vegetable market in the Place Massena are a must see, as is the Monday antique... More
