Pro's - such a nice way to ramble around the city, the promenade in particular is a really pleasant cycle. Plenty of pickup and drop off points. Really cheap. Cons - poorly designed system - the initial registration online is not intuitive, had to try it several times but it's worth persevering. Pickup system also confusing but after you do... More

you can find everywhere around the nice. If you pay attention to instructions it is easy to get the bike and ready to go. There are very lovely places to go within biking distance so just rent it.

The velobleu bikes take you around the city in minutes. It's a great way to get from the airport beaches to the port or to the station. Everywhere. Plenty of stations are around. The downside is that the terminals are slow and require a telephone to use. Nice could learn from Paris, which has an easy-to-use system.

There are a lot of stations and renting is easy once registered. However the quality of the bicycles is not good and the stations are also not always working. First 30 minutes are free. So still a very comfortable way to visit nice.

Step 1: Use Google Translate to "view" the Velobleu.org Website in English. Step 2: Register online before you go get a bike. You will need to register your mobile number. This is VERY important as you need to call a number (no charge) to get a bike (in step 8) Step 3: (if needed) If you need more than one... More

I was reluctant to use this based on a number of the reviews but we found it fantastic. Once you register at one of the machines on the promenade you are set to go. As for the reviewers who complained about the 150 Euro charged per person, it is a bond, not a charge and its fair enough. You return... More

This is not a Tourist attraction, thus is a functioning city facility used by many workers and people living in Nice to get around. It is subsidised by the City hence it is cheap. It is a bit tricky the first time ( there are always people looking puzzled) you use it so best to register on line for the... More

Myself and my friends tried to avail of Velo Blue bike service in Nice and to our astonishment they deducted 450 Euro from my account. When we saw this we immediately rang to cancle this and stated to them we were not using the bikes or availing of this service. The said "email us" and that "they cannot cancle the... More

We had the bikes on and off for a week in Nice. On the whole it was very simple and made it a good option as we tend to walk too much so it was great to hop on a bike. The only problem we had was at certain times i.e. 5.00pm everyone seems to return the bikes to the... More

Rented two bikes. Depositum of 150 euros per bike (300 euros in total). This was five days ago. They have withdraw depositum and 4 euros for use, but not returned my 300 euros! Will never use them again. I call it theft as they sit on my money and I don't know when they will be back. Holliday is over... More
