a great place in the evening!

There is always something going on here day and night, but the lovely lights are great to see, and the fountains as well. see and be seen, just enjoy the atmosphere!

Large square close to fountains, park, shops and seafront. Always buzzing with people. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the scene. Popular with tourists and close to the tramline

Take a stroll or take the tram and enjoy the beauty of the Architecture-- shopping is great too! This is a great place to meander, people watch and window shop to your hearts content.

Everything happens here! Carnival, shopping, eating, hanging, strolling, people watching, catching the tram, meeting friends. There is also beautiful architecture, amazing colors and buildings, artists, and art. It's enticing and fun.

This is a large square that used to be a horrible area with loads of traffic and noise. Now with all the new changes, this area is a beautiful area where many of the buildings have been updated to its original charm, the cars are all gone and it's all pedestrian areas. People are milling around and enjoying the shops... More

When we stumbled upon Place Massena while looking for the beach we discovered a huge oasis of calm amidst trams and traffic so we could walk and gaze about without worrying about being run over. The fountain was large and certainly worth looking at with the major sculpture looking down from above and the minor figures riding on animals in... More

Great shopping and close to the beach. Promenade is a wonderful walking spot. Tons of restaurants that face the beach as well. Great meeting point for friends as well.

Loved the paving, the statues, the ambience everything. It is all lit up at night too. The big shopping stores are here with all you would ever need or wish for. A truly cosmopolitain city, rather expensive but that';s to be expected.
