Very close to our hotel and close to Lafayette and the street car stops there. There are other beautiful squares in Nice, but Place Massena tops them all.

Lovely long park for frisbee, eating a picnic, playing in the fountains, or just sitting with a book. Lovely in the sun, great for families and lots of nice benches to spend a bit of time.

Place Massena is an iconic square in Nice where everything converges close to the sea and Vielle Ville. The patterned paving and the beautiful parks and computer controlled fountains make this a place you will want to visit more than once. The tram runs through Place Massena, which is also surrounded by high end stores and great outdoor cafés and... More

Great seafood restaurants, shopping and a direct walk to the Promenade. Varies in price point from affordable and touristy to pricey/fancy.

Big open square with pleasing architecture and art work. There were street entertainers (some better than others) and bicycle taxies near by. Gardens to the right and fountains to the left. It all looks good at night too.

We bought a second home in Nice in 2007. For many years there was a lot of work going on at Place Massena. New train, park and so on. But now every think is finished an the place is beautiful - must see if you are in Nice!

The city of nice has two hearts: The old city / The Port and Place Massena .... for an excellent shopping, fun walk and a refreshing coffee, one should go to Massena Plaza ....
