Unfortunately it was sealed!

Walked up to it but unfortunately it was sealed off with scaffolding and couldn't be seen I would love to come back when it opens and get a chance to glimpse this cathedral.

I would love to see the cathedral, but it's closed for refurb. I was a bit disappointed seeing it was wrapped around and there was no information about the re-open

This place looks very interesting from the photographs. Unfortunately, it is closed to the public at present and, by the look of it, is likely to remain shut for some time. We could not find out when it is due to re-open, so check before making the journey.

Rushed there before lunch close hour and found it was closed for construction. There was no information available online. Couldn't find English page/notes from their official website. Gift shop lady told us it won't be open until next year sometimes in late October or early November.

We were in Nice in early September 2014 and I was really looking forward to seeing this church based on our travel book plus the rave reviews on trip advisor. When traveling, time is limited and at least for us, we really take the time to see things of interest and cannot afford to waste any time. This church was... More

We were really looking forward to seeing the Cathedral, and very disappointed that it was closed and covered in scaffolding. No part of it is accessible, inside or out. We were given directions at our hotel, and they were not aware it's been closed since July. Go to the beach instead.

While it's closed for renovations, this is still probably the most striking example of a Russian Orthodox architecture that exists outside of the country. If you are into Boroque religious architecture, this place is a must.

This attraction is currently closed but none of the various information sites (including its own!) mentioned this. Several tourists of all nationalities were arriving to find it covered in scaffolding and shrouded in canvas with only a small gift shed open in grounds. Very disappointed.

The Russian Church in Nice is well worth visiting and the "Poor" rating I have given does not in any way reflect the grandure of the building. The reason for the "poor" rating is simply because none of the building is currently visible as it is shrouded in scaffolding and tarpaulins for the duration of the renovations. Indications are that... More

Closed at present time, covered in scaffolding and 'covers', but will be back as what I have read promises to make it memorable.
