About
The fisrt cooking school on the riviera, creates in 2006. Our cooking classes are open to all levels and conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere ! If you love cooking, eating well, or hosting dinner parties, but too often you lack time or ideas.... During the course we will create a meal (based on a specific food, a theme or a menu) that you will eat afterwards in a pleasant setting. We will provide you with the products and recipes, and we will lend you an apron and a kitchen towel on the day. With no more than 9 people per class, each of the participants will be able to contribute to the preparation of the meal and share their knowledge or ask questions.

I'm an American living in the South of France, I belong to a cooking club organized within one of the companies in the area. I have gone to Cuisine sur Cours about a dozen times in the last two years. Cuisine sur Cours proposes courses that are delicious, relatively easy to prepare (the chef shows you the tips and techniques in the course) and will 'wow' your dinner guests. The menus are very much gastronimic, makes alot of use of local and healthy products and she gives detailed recipes that will allow you to do the recipe on your own! The chef, Aude, is very knowledgeable, loves what she does and has a great talent for creating impressive dishes that are do-able in your own kitchen.

Feel free to contact me via TripAdvisor if you'd like further info on my experience with Cuisine sur Cours or other cooking schools in the area!

My husband and I enjoyed this half day course. In retrospect we would skip the market tour as we have been to and shopped at many similar markets. The food was down to earth, nothing complicated to make - but tasty. Most of Aude's custom is local, however we were a mixed bunch of 3 tourists and 2 locals. We did feel in the cold as although Aude speaks fluent English she spent the large proportion of her time talking to the 2 locals in French.

I didn't attend the cooking class myself, but sent my mom to one of Cuisine sur Cours' cooking classes when she was in Nice this spring.

It sounds like the class was really fun - a small group, a tour through the market, followed by a three course meal cooked (& enjoyed!) at Cuisine sur Cours.

The classes are in French (although the hands on cooking demonstrations probably speak a universal language) - and the proprietor Aude Bertaux was very helpful with directions and other advance information via email.

I am currently on a school trip with a group of 17-year-old students of French, and had booked cooking courses with Mme Bertaux. Everything was clean and well prepared, and the Cuisine sur Cours kitchen studio with patio were really lovely. The recipe were great and possible to repeat once the students return home. Highly recommended !

I think my experience in Aude's class suffered from my poor knowledge of French. As there was only one other person in the course and she spoke only French, it made following the information challenging at times. Aude did a good job of sharing information about the Marche Liberation in English, which was much appreciated. She was thorough and informative, clearly knowing quite a bit about the history of the region and the produce. Her instructions during the class were also clear, though I think my past experiences with cooking classes in America did not prepare me for the classical style she presented. It was a good experience and I learned quite a bit, but for those expecting an easy Sur La Table type class, this is not that class. She clearly knows her theory and food science, which made learning it more interesting. If I had one request, it would have been that the recipes been translated into English; however, I made enough notes that I (think) can follow it well enough.

I have always wanted to know how to do pastry well and it has been a source of great envy when someone else can. I can safely say now that I am confident that my little French pastry tarts will be perfect each time! It was one of the most delicious meals we had in France (amongst some exceptional eating in our trip) and best of all...we can now make it at home, too!! The class was in French with translation when required into English, this would be tricky if you did not understand the language. Fortunately, much of the culinary vocabulary seems to be French which helps immensly!

After travelling to many countries - it's always been our passion to learn to cook from local professional - well Aude is just the person
After spending time at the local market we then created some amazing dishes, learnt some simple but effective secrets

Probably the best cooking school that our group have ever been to
