unfortunately the chateau guided tour was only in French, but the leaflet more than compensated. We found it informative. The tour only lasts half an hour and you need the same for the gardens. The tea rooms have a nice aspect looking out over the harbour which has some lovely boats to view. A good visit, very unusual couple the... More

Whether you get the full guided tour or just tour the grounds yourself this is a "don't miss" experience. Only two blocks walk from the train depot makes it easy to get to even without a car. The strange love story of Henry and Marie Clews is played out in the garden and interior of this chateau. Interior tours only... More

It's magic! If you watch the short video on the entrance you will understand and look closely to the details on the gardens and the castle. If you love castles and fairy tales, you will get lost in you imagination of this magic place. A love story indeed, where the ones who restored it and lived there, had the passion... More

Other reviews, from * to ***** explain that this is not for everyone. It certainly is not an attraction for young children. And if you love to visit the stately homes and National Trust properties in the British Isles, then this will give you a "what on earth is this all about?" feeling. My 5-star rating is because it appeals... More

The best view of this fairy castle is from the marina, looking back across the little beach to it's side. I had not seen a picture so was possibly expecting a tacky pink painted building - but no - natural stone and very idyllic. The town of La Napoule is lovely too and even if you don't like boats wander... More

Beautiful lovestory behind this castle. Two American artists created their special place to live, work and love. Marie and Henri were defintely out of the ordinary and made their dreams come true. Inspired by Don Quichotte this is not to be missed when you are in Cannes or around. Be inspired ...

A really lovely looking venue but like a cake in a shop window is more lovely to look at than eat! Apart from the appearance there is little to keep you there - no superb interiors & gardens on the opposite side to the sea which has a small narrow terrace. Wonderful to hire for functions but not for day... More

I enjoy going regularly to the Chateau de la Napoule for it's art exhibits and the beautiful scenery. It is worth a short visit when you are in Mandelieu la Napoule.

It was the worse attraction I remember to have visited in the cote d'azur. The chateau's general maintenance state is bad. I was not able to get inside (maybe it's possible if you buy a guided visit), so I visited only the jardins.
