Unbelievably we found the Gorges very easily. I put this in my satnav “438-446 Route des Gorges, 06140 Tourettes-Sur-Loupe, France" and find myself literally 100m from where I needed to be! (This never happens!) Found a space in a layby on the right (although these are very hard to find) and walked up the road a 100m to find a... More

Before going i thought there would be several places to swim; however there was only really one spot to swim. But it was lovely-very cold though!Beautiful drive up the mountains!

We parked in Bar sur Loup and did the well marked trail UP to village of Gourdon. It was quite a pull up towards the end but the views were wonderful all the way and a great sense of achievement once we got there! A loop back to Bar s Loup made sure it was not just a 'there and... More

This is the French equivalent to the Grand Canyon. One of the most beautiful natural monument to visit in France. The drive is full of surprises at every turn, the scenery is stunning. Once there, well you have a choice of things to do, rock climbing, bungee jumping, walk, or just breath and take your fill of fresh air. Jaw... More

This route is definitely worth travelling. You dont have to travel far before your first stop, and you are just wonder what everyone is looking at. Amazing views with share cliffs dropping away, looking down into a ravine far below. We spotted 5 hawkes/eagles/falcons (along those lines) just drifting on the uplift. Also plenty of picnic spots along the way.

Lovely drive through the gorges, and there is a viewing place where you can stop and take photos.. There is a small cost to view the cascades, but well worth it

Fabulous views driving up the D3 and back on the D6. Gourdon is beautiful. Great waterfall on the D6 (not the one you pay for but another that you can park on roadside and walk back to). Travel onto Tourrettes sur Loup. Very very pretty town well worth a visit.

Set off from Grasse along good roads to Gourdon. Arrived early, not very busy, to admire the views and the village (great for little shops). Followed the gorge along windy roads alongside the river before climbing back up to the lovely village of Tourettes sur Loup. Great small shops and artist galleries inside a walled village perched high on a... More

This daytrip route is highly recommended! Plan on encountering a variety of vehicles, breathtaking views, well maintained and very drivable roads, along with numerous spots to stop and contemplate the scenes ahead and below. There are a number of enjoyable villages, cafes and simple viewpoints to stop, your biggest mistake will be to rush through. The weekend can be busy,... More

The scenery is breath-taking, the circuit varied in hills, curves, flat road. Great place to recharge your batteries without having to wear the yellow jersey from the Tour de France. I haven't done the tour in a few years, but I remember it as a summer highlight with the entire family on our bicycles, so not too hard, although not... More
