Lovely day travelling the gorge. Lots of stops to view scenery and visit villages. Lots of things to do so a full day can be planned.

Lovely round trip up by Gourdon to lunch at the superb Relais at Greoliere and back to the coast via the Loup river road. Gourdon is over-rated and too full of tourists and tat to be attractive anymore (but the tough walk straight up the "Staircase to Heaven" from the Loup is worthwhile in Winter/early Spring or Autumn) There are... You pay 1 Euro to see a waterfall-there is a short walk to a viewing point which if you don't like heights is a bit nerve wracking. So why 4 stars? It's lovely and very pretty- in terms of long walks/hiking- no you can't but for a Euro its well worth seeing- I took plenty of photos.

Wonderful scenery, winding roads and views across the countryside and beyond to the sea, this area is stunning and definitely worth visiting. We stopped numerous times along the road just to soak up the views. The little village of Gourdon is stunning - pedestrianised with quaint shops and plenty to see. The waterfalls at Pont Sur Loup are also impressive... More

Loved the peace and quiet of the area, and the drama of the views of the gorge rock sides that come and go as you cycle or drive along - some great falls and cascades.

It's spectacular. No other word for it. Wear flats as its a lot of uneven walking. The views are amazing. In fact breathtaking. Lots of places to stop including quaint little village shops. The gorge is impressive. Enjoyed our day here very much

We started our walk along the gorge near to the Florian Sweet Shop. The scenery was brilliant with the cliffs high above either side. We stopped for a picnic beside the river on some rocks and ate baguettes. After admiring the beautiful cobalt waters of Le Loup, we followed the path back. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any appropriate places to... More

This is a staggering gorge with Florian sweet factory, villages, chateau and even a ski station, well worth the trip and takes about half a day.
