Small cathedral, quite interesting but on its own it would not justify visiting Grasse, which frankly is extremely disappointing and has little else of any interest.

Wander past the Fragonard museum to find this small and evocative cathedral in a charming little square in the oldest part of town. Three large Rubens await you inside along with an impressive atmosphere of times past that will quiet you in the midst of heady Riviera tourism.

Simply designed and decorated, the history of this ancient cathedral includes a period when it was sacked and then used as a fodder store. The oval stained glass window over the alter is small but this merely enhances its beauty as the morning light arrives. We had the good fortune to attend mass during our stay, an event made all... While Italy, which is my home country, is full of amazing churches of any kind, this one impressed me for many reasons: the colums are huge and entirely made of rock (at least it seemed so), the paintings are very good (I personally didn't know Rubens as an artist but found his works amazing) and the enormous crucifix on the... The main highlight in this place are the large Rubens' paintings on the wall (see attached photo). The cathedral is old but it is very serene to be sitting inside. Also, the views of the town are very scenic outside, just behind the Cathedral.

This is a pure Romanesque example, as seen on the pages of history of art tome. I spotted two pieces of Rubens, may be there were more.

Do find your way here. This is a very atmospheric church with 3 Rubens paintings. It is in a quiet square with a great viewpoint just round the corner.

The cathedral has had quite a history. It is difficult to say it is beautiful because the inside has deteriorated - the pillars show the effects of fire. But it has a certain charm. There are some lovely stain-glass windows and then, completely unexpectedly, there are 3 large Rubens paintings hanging on one wall. The authorities do not mind if... More

Liked the preservation of old buildings and this one seems to have been close to falling down. Happy to see the interior, as it is the first old building I've seen where the stones on the inside are weathered as badly as the one's on the outside.
