Nice tour - and some very good perfumes

This definitely was a highlight on my visit to Paris. I learned a lot about how perfumes are made and really enjoyed the museum tour. The ladies at the shop were so informative and helpful I could not help but walk away with enough perfumes to last me a couple of years. Since we did the tour as part of... More

There is no charge to enter the shop/factory/museum and the first part when you see how all the plant oils from all over the world are extracted and the perfumes created, is quite interesting. You then descend to the selling area. For us it all seemed a bit random with none of the perfumes/essences clearly labelled and no prices. Added... More

The museum isn't so interesting, but I didnt take the tour - so I may have missed out. However, the shop is full of great smellies...and you are sure to find something great. Grasse city centre is still cr@p, despite the town's efforts...

Take a conducted tour of the factory if you have the chance. The company representative will give you an excellent tour of the factory area and at the same time explain in great detail the various processes undertaken in order to produce an extensive range of perfumes and soaps. The viewing areas allow you to see the processes first hand.... More

We went to this parfumerie to kill a bit of time before we left Grasse, wasn't expecting a lot but was surprisingly fascinating. Had no idea about the history of perfume and how much work goes into making it! Bought some perfume at the end of the tour that I felt was so much nicer and cheaper than the perfume... More

When you get closer to Grasse from the South, it reveals urbanisation run riot, flyovers under construction, the celebrated hillside a seemingly visual mess. The Grasse i remember from the early 80s is not the splendour we encountered today. Be that as it may, once, a long time ago, summer houses in the cooler air of Grasse attracted those who... More

We had a great guide who was really interesting and we learnt a lot from her. We had been to Molinard about 1/2 hour before and they just pointed us in the direction of the museum and the shop and said there was no tour. We left and drove to Fragonard..the one a little out of the city centre. Our... More

Is a short drive from Fragonard which is the best of the parfumerie in Grasse. Chateauneuf is a pictoresque very old village between Grasse and Nice and is well worth the stopover. I stayed with a friend of the family there for a month and will never forget the experience. Once was in 1969 with my mother and once was... More

Was very disappointing as we had been looking forward to this visit for a few weeks. Unfortunately, what should have been an interesting tour was totally ruined by the tour guide who was only interested in getting the group to the shop as soon as possible so she could try and earn her commission - and where she kept interrupting...
