Location Around 10-15 minutes walk from the railway station, clear to the port. There's nothing much in here, especially if you are visiting off season (not doing the Cannes Film Festival). There are lot of restaurants opposite to this place and a flee market.

Visit the best tourism office on the coast, then stroll around the Palais, putting yourself in the picture. Always lots going on here, even if you miss the Film Festival.

We went there to see the Cannes Film Festival in May. My daughter had a pass so she was able to see some amazing movies and people, directors, etc. Unfortunately, My pass was limited but I was able to see the shorts in the Court Metrange at my leisure. It was fun to see the dressed up people bustling about... More

I was there at the Plais for the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival. This is huge place. The palais is a great place to host these kind of events. It has multiple seminar halls having two main ones called Grand Auditorium and the Debussy. Located in the beach side and the harbour, so that you have a nice view when you go... More

After a ridiculous 4 hour wait to leave the Independence of the Sea by Tender, due to a cock up, we found the Palais de Festivals a 10 minute walk from the quay. It's the large white building, halfway around the bay. Being a film buff, I couldn't wait to see where it all happened. Unfortunately they didn't put the... More

We were there on May 2014 during the Festival de Cannes. A lot of people, not much to do! Don't waste your time there just to see a red carpet.

Good luck getting around this area during the film festival. Unless you have festival access or are trying to star spot then avoid this area in the afternoon as it is very congested both on foot and by car. Early morning is a much better time to scope out the area around the Palais des festivals

I am lucky enough to be covering the Cannes Film festival this year. But those ones with restricted or no access to the event should try to have a look at the surrounds of the busy Palais des Festivals anyway. Lots of people and good energy, some of them passionate about movies, some of them passionate about celebrities and a glimpse... More
