This is a "new" building which contrasts with the french athmosphere of the place and the region itself. In fqact, it is ugly and has no charm at all

If there is strange and ugly place in Cannes - it is Festival Palace - look like viallge ciniema house with forms of the buro building in the heart of the city. was here for Midem 2013. Its a convention hall. Not much else to be said about it, decent as far as convention halls go. Food over priced, so dont buy food there, bring bottled water and all should be ok!

Venue handles crowds very well - efficient! thats pretty much all you can say about it. good facilities and seats are comfortable for sitting through presentations for hours.

a bit old but still glamorous. it is nice to sit across from the palais during the film festival, have a glass of campaign and check out which starlets enter the theater. you do get the fill that the palais is from a bygone area, but then who cars.... it is cannes and it is chic.

Although it was not festival time, we visited the place for some photo op. The weather wasn't too great, so ended up not enjoying the walk as much as we liked, but still were happy to have visited the place.

however it's just a building, but we can't look it and don't remember the red carpet and all the moovie stars that every year walk there to enter the the Moovie Festival of Cannes

Well, you just have to get in line to get the photo of you on the famous red carpet to the Grand Auditorium. It is a must, whether you like it or not. Just do it!
