Beautiful & Peaceful

Lovely peaceful , although the boat drops of plenty of tourists you can still find quite spots. The old fortress & prison contains great artwork & is worth seeing

We got to this island by boat from Juan-les-pins, the boat ride was lovely in the sunshine and not busy so had a great choice on where to sit. The island itself was very pretty, we took around an hours walk around the coast and it was very beautiful. We went to the fort/prison which was a good place to... More

Was best impression from my trip to Cote d'Azur! Incredible island with forests just 15 min from Cannes! Enjoyed walking there in quietness and among nature! Very relaxing! Would love to come back. Just make sure you take food and drink with you - just 2 resto on the island, one is crazy expensive, another just expensive.

The ferry trip was pleasant and the boat spotlessly clean as was Cannes generally. We saw more rubbish on St Marguerite than anywhere else and climbed a lot of steps to view the fort and paid 6 euros entrance to see very little.

Transported to a small paradise on earth in only 15 minutes! A lovely place to catch your breath from the Cannes buzz.

Take a bit of time out from busy Cannes to visit this quiet island. Walks through the pine forests are lovely and there are many peaceful coves to explore. The castle - 6 euros entrance is a must for fans of man in the iron mask as this is supposed to be his prison. Nice restaurant - l'escele - great... More

Loved this island! It's the bigger of the two islands. If you can turn right when you get off the boat! Don't go the way most people go and definitely don't bother with the castle as it costs 6 euros to enter it and it takes you five minutes to go around it!! Not worth it! We only discovered the... Decent size boats, so no worries if it's a little choppy. If you can, of course, pick a calm day. Essentials you need to know : at least from the beginning of April to the end of September, probably longer, there are drinks / refreshments available, especially if you look to the right round a corner on your way up... The smaller of the two island situated 20 min boat ride from the Cannes coast is worth the visit. It is extremely beautiful and has some historic buildings too. Please note that the boats are not there from 12 PM - 2PM, (somehow most things like even museums are closed during these hours in this part of the world). Tickets... More

Ile Sainte Marguerite is well worth a visit if you are in the Cannes area. It is quiet and calm. Even in August, small private coves can be found to spend the day along the turquoise sea shore. I love visiting in winter for hiking around the 8km perimeter. Pack a lunch and have a picnic at one of the... More
