Yikes! A concrete beach front with lots of cars, some nice buildings, a few trees. All in all very disappointing and absolutely not worth going an inch out of your way for it.

It is of course an iconic avenue, but it can be too much during high summer and with street vendors, etc...can be a nightmare to wander...

I have been in Cannes few times but this is first time I am staying here for about 10 days( work) and I really fail to see what do people see on this place. No doubt there is some good food. But the little strip of the beach is filled up with overprices rental beds( first row 30 euros!). Public... More

Lots of walking but the majority is flat. Really pleasurable afternoon strolling around watching people enjoying their day in the sunshine. It always amazes me how much happier us Brits are when the sun falls onto our faces. Lots of little places you can stop for a rest, (or a beer !)

One of the highlights is sitting on the Croisette, with my little sandwich and a bottle of water, it's like heaven on earth

This is the main street of the city. It is full of luxury hotels and shops and very crowded. You can walk along the sea while shopping (though most of the shops here are very expensive).

The Croisette is too narrow, so during high season it's difficult to stroll along the promenade without bumping into everyone. Lines for an ice cream...or a beer. No place to sit. With all the money being spent on the Film Festival Palais, you'd think they'd do some work on the Croisette. Still, I found the only 2-decker carousel so far...and... More
