A MUST SEE

Just so unique that it is a must see if you are anywhere near by in Nice, Antibes or even Cannes. Well worth the detour on the way to visiting Biot.

Everything will make this "Leger experience" unique : the location, the choice of works, the architecture, the garden. Biot is still a small preserved village and the museum stands on high grounds, surrounded by nature. Specifically designed to house a large donation of major works, including some huge mosaics and sculptures, it is well lit, air-conditioned, vast and welcoming. The... More

They decided to close 60 mins early despite a group booking made 5 months ago, confirmed 1 month ago. We were given 15 mins. They coudn't care less. They don't deserve visitors. Or jobs.

Was looking forward to visiting this museum and had anticipated a small, somewhat old-fashioned museum - how wrong I was! Like lots of museums and galleries in this area, the light and layout of the building complemented the paintings beautifully. We were there first thing one morning, and I think we were the only visitors. Definitely a highlight and certainly... More

Leger gallery was a revelation I knew many famous painters lived and worked in Provence but the quality of the paintings at this gallery near Biot was a revelation- well worth a visit and the gallery does credit to a 20th century master

We've been to this area a few times, and visited lots of artists' museums/galleries, but missed this gem for some reason. 'Easy to find' and 'open' are two characteristics you don't always associate with French musees, but this was both, and a real surprise. Purpose built just after the artist's death in the mid to late fifties, it contains a... More

Loved everything about this fabulous museum (inside and out) - honoring this prolific artist and his huge contribution to modern art. What a treat! (and go by car if you can).

We were staying with friends in Biot,a lovely suburb not far from the airport, Cote d'Azure and the hilltop towns. It is also home to Leger's awesome wall-size extravaganzas. Housed in a contemporary building, the space is well utilised with natural lighting and rooms full of his prodigious and creative works. The collection encompasses his drawings, paintings, tapestries and ceramics which depict... More

enjoyed it much more than expected..I'm not the lover of Leger but i fully appreciate his art. not taking into account his style(which is personal view), the museum itself is very nice exposition of the works both outside and inside. the spacious halls expose the works with lots of light and space, which gives a great impression. had a very...
