Leger gallery was a revelation I knew many famous painters lived and worked in Provence but the quality of the paintings at this gallery near Biot was a revelation- well worth a visit and the gallery does credit to a 20th century master

We've been to this area a few times, and visited lots of artists' museums/galleries, but missed this gem for some reason. 'Easy to find' and 'open' are two characteristics you don't always associate with French musees, but this was both, and a real surprise. Purpose built just after the artist's death in the mid to late fifties, it contains a... More

Loved everything about this fabulous museum (inside and out) - honoring this prolific artist and his huge contribution to modern art. What a treat! (and go by car if you can).

We were staying with friends in Biot,a lovely suburb not far from the airport, Cote d'Azure and the hilltop towns. It is also home to Leger's awesome wall-size extravaganzas. Housed in a contemporary building, the space is well utilised with natural lighting and rooms full of his prodigious and creative works. The collection encompasses his drawings, paintings, tapestries and ceramics which depict... More

enjoyed it much more than expected..I'm not the lover of Leger but i fully appreciate his art. not taking into account his style(which is personal view), the museum itself is very nice exposition of the works both outside and inside. the spacious halls expose the works with lots of light and space, which gives a great impression. had a very... This is simply one of the best museums on the Cote d'Azur, and that is saying a lot. Great place in a great little village.

Whether or not you're familiar with Fernand Léger, be sure to add this museum to your itinerary. Set on lovely grounds off a quiet road in Biot, the museum displays some of Léger's most noted cubist and realist renditions as well as his lesser known works that are equally awe-inspiring. Additionally, his wife commissioned artists to create grand-scale mosaics and... More

Set on a gorgeous property, this beautiful and informative museum is a must see. We knew a little bit about Leger when we decided to go but left with consider insight into Leger's art and his theories. The transition from his early work to that final work was exquisitely presented and enhanced by the audio guide which discussed and set... More

The Fernand-Leger museum is an altar to Modernism. In an area populated with small modernist museums including the Foundation Maeght in St Paul de Vence, the Matisse Chapel in Vence, the Jean-Cocteau museum in Menton this is one of my favorites. Set in the rolling hills of Biot the architecture of this imposing building catches you by surprise. Monumental Leger... More
