This is a nice break from Antibes and with a Spectacular view. Just a short trip by car. Enjoy the small shops selling aroma soaps in any colour you can think of :)

The drive up to Gourdon is winding but much easier than say travelling to St Paul de Vence. Much wider road and beautiful views along the way. We parked at the bottom opposite a restaurant and walked up. There is another car park further up. The town itself it a beautiful medieval one with quaint narrow winding streets. There are... More

Visited for 45 mins as we were staying in grasse 20 mins away. Fantastic views but it felt a bit overdone with the many tourist shops the town has. Worth the visit but don't expect it to be a quiet forgotten place in the hills.

Gourdon is a small village on the top of a mountain in what are called Préalpes Nice. It is a wonderful place, with wonderful views of the valley and around Nice and the Alpes Maritimes. Worth the winding road. The road is very good

Some great little shops and restaurants with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. Also if you take the mountain road via Vence then you get the benefit of driving along one of the most amazing roads in Europe. A nice day trip, as you can easily pop to Grasse and Mougins too.

My husband and I hired a private driver to take us to Gourdon, Vence and St. Paul de Vence in the French Riviera…."Philip" was hired by "Travel Bound" and was our driver and tour guide on June 16th and 17th….He was EXCELLENT!….very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He showed us three amazing towns which was the highlight of a four week... More

This walled village was my favorite. It smelled of soap, flowers, and delicious food. The drive there was spectacular with winding roads and wonderful views. Plan to spend the day there!!

During our road trip in the French Riviera (inland) and the Loup valley we decided to make a short stop in Gourdon. Gourdon is a picturesque old village, with small streets, boutiques with perfumes and some restaurants. It's really beautiful, the view is magnificent and it's certainly worth a visit. One hour should be more than enough to see the... More

Gourdon is a small village at the back of Valbonne, behind Antibes. It is very small, but well preserved and a bit of a tourist trap in the summer. Go there during the day because it shuts down at night except in July and August. So have lunch there, the restaurants are not great, but no worse than on the... More

This is an historic hill town overlooking the Cote D'Azur. It's a ~20 min drive along some fairly small and twisting roads to the north of Grasse - the regional perfume capital, also worth a visit. Go here for the great views and a nice lunch in one of the several small restaurants in the old village; though nothing of... More
