Mathias was our sommelier while visiting Les Caves Saint Charles to purchase a case of wine. If you are a serious wine-lover, this experience will stick with you forever. You have a vast source of knowledge in Mathias who is also perfectly friendly and accommodating. Not to mention, his English is perfect and he still indulged my fiance's basic French... More

This was our 2nd wine tasting. We booked this after reading the Trip Advisor reviews but before hand got collared into another mini tasting session whilst walking past another cave. Les Caves Saint Charles however outshone it's competitor easily! The ambiance tied in with the knowledge and history of the local wine was outstanding. You have now turned my husband... More

If you are a true wine enthusiast, this is a must. The hosts have an exceptional knowledge of wine and the tasting experience was fun and educational. Their selection of local wines is also second to none.

The "caves" are really, really small, really claustrophobic and you get a really serious pitch on buying their very expensive wine. The knowledgebase is great but it is not worth a visit.

Dear Sir , I really apologise if you didin't feel confortable in our caves , I am happy to know however you apreciated the tasting and explainations . It is a little tuff for me to consider we operate in a Claustrophobic area and if I may I would kindly suggest you to book an open air activitie instead next... More

Guy the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and very down to earth, he made our tasting superb. Chateauneuf-du-Pape is a beautiful place to visit on its own but you should definitely do a tasting here if you do it anywhere, the place is beatuiful in a really nice area. We tasted 9 excellent wines and all came away with several bottles,... More

We have been on a wine tour around France and this degustation is the best we found. Amazing selection of great wines, very knowledgeable, welcoming, speaks great English! A must if you are in chateauneuf and want to learn as compare some producers and varietals!

Guy is a great guy - down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and sincere. He took us through the classic and contemporary range of wines in the region, helping to dispel the stigma of Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines being big, chewy things that only go well with a hunk of venison. The tasting room (or cave) is dark, candle-lit, with a bit of Gregorian chanting in... More

We were welcomed to Les Caves by Mathias who was very charming. This was our first wine tasting in France and he talked us through the basics and the history of Chateauneuf-du-Pape before tasting 1 white, 2 modern and 4 old school wines. There was no pressure to buy but we did of course buy a mixed case of 6... More

We arrived a little late for our booking but our host Mathias made us feel so welcome. He was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well - we enjoyed our wine tasting (we love our wines but know nothing about French wines) and Mathias helped us select a case of wine to ship back home to Australia for us to...
