A new place located in Pope's cellar dating from the 13th century. Amazing wine tasting of different Chateauneuf du Pape wines by Guy Brémond, a professional master sommelier. Daily tastings, phenomenal experience.

After reading so many positive reviews about Les Caves Saint Charles, we went to take a look for ourselves. What a treat it was to be seated in ancient caves and taste a variety of delicious wines. We'll definitely be back again to enjoy one of the popular food events.

Great place in Chateauneuf du Pape. Very cool cave setting and Mathias did a wonderful job teaching us all about the wine in the region. Very educational! Small setting that is intimate with a private hour long tasting. We had 5 different wines. Call or reserve a tasting ahead of time and a week in advance for the dinner course/lesson... More

Living close to California wine region, we have experienced many wine tastings. This experience exceeded our expectations. Mathias taught us everything we needed to know about Chateauneuf du Pape wines. He was patient and a great conversationalist. We tasted six wines: two white, two modern reds, and two old world reds. The setting and company made this an exceptional fun... More

During my visit to the Caves Saint Charles last autumn, the owner, Mr. Guy Bremond mentioned that he was opening a private kitchen in order to host wine tastings with fine food. We came back the third week of April to try this new tasting concept. It was brilliant! The one thing Chateauneuf lacks is good food to pair with... More

Our group sampled 6 wines and learned about the region. Mathias was very informative and put us at ease. We were able to taste the unique qualities and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would love to return for a cooking lesson and tasting!Stay tuned!

This was one of the highlights of our week in CdP. Mathias was a great host, and you can tell enjoys his job which made the visit even better. Tasted both Blanc and Rouge, and enjoyed being able to experience different producers at the tasting. I think we bought three cases there alone it was so good. Will be back!!!!!

I visited the Cave Saint Charles at the end of the season. By far the only serious tasting.in town. The owner is a retired top sommelier. 9 reds and 5 whites were sampled over two hours. There was both depth and breadth in the tasting. The Cave Saint Charles is the only place offering a truly sophisticated wine experience in... More

Les Caves Saint Charles was by far the best experience I ever had, from the many types of wine we had and knowledge you gain from the regions wine to the atmosphere of the Pope's old cave system. Mathias was our sommelier and he couldn't be more friendlier despite our bad French, his English was very good. I thought the... More

loved the setting, the information and of course the wine! Guy was great and we are still enjoying the many bottles we had sent over. This is a must do.

The only shopping you can do in Chateauneuf du Pape is definitely wine. There are literally hundreds of cellars and wine shops in which you can taste and buy wine. Guy's place is different in a few aspects: First, he is not a producer, thus can be more objective when presenting and recommending certain wines. Second, the setting in an... More
