The Place de l'Horloge is the pulse center of Avignon. Filled with restaurants, shops and entertainments beyond compare. We spent every evening on this square, sipping coffee, having wine, eating a glorious dinner or just strolling about enjoying the sights and smells.

The energy is elevating...mimes, musicians, carousel, icecream, patisseries, eateries abound. Pros: a central place to stay, average restaurants and visitor's information. Definitely a enjoyable place to spend some time in Avignon. Cons: There is no place to park -- you must park your car in the city's parking lot (underground).

Great city square that has many streets leading off to some very interesting shops. The Square itself has more cafes and bars than one could enjoy. All of them have outdoor dining which is nice.
