In this cinema you can choose what ever film They only project very good quality films from various parts of the world. They are always projected in the orginal version with French subtitles. The seats are confortable, the scene good size, and the audio emission of good quality. Sometimes on hot summer days the place may be somewhat too warm.... More

Nice little theatre showing movies in original version, so for me good for english movies. Large crowd on the night as it was the cine club, so a critique of the movie before and after (in French) which was nice

They have some good films sometimes, often some very "French" artsy films, and everything is in VOST with subtitles, so it's great if you want to see an English-language movie (difficult in France) or experience a movie in a language other than French (while practicing your French reading skills on the subtitles). The only negative is that you can only... More

A little gem in Avignon. This cinema and cafe is off the beaten tourist track and does show English films as well (subtitled). Lovely arthouse atmosphere and a great spot for a decently priced beer (not tourist prices).

Finding out about this cinema was great news as we were hanging out to see a good film in English. We had visited a large cinema in Avignon only to fid out that all films shown there are dubbed. The Utopia Cinema is close to the centre of the old town and is great value. We went to the noon... More

A wonderful place to watch films, drink wine and coffee, or eat (there's a restaurant). A committed place for culture and movie buffs!

Tucked away on a side street in Avignon, Cinema Utopia is worth the trip. Allow plenty of time to find the cinema. There is a cafe connected. Tickets do not sell until 10 minutes before the show starts so do not worry. There is a sign out front that says what is playing that day and a pamplet with info... More

This cinema is a twin with La Manutention ( which has a restaurant ) and offers a wide range of original language films. Get there early since it is popular.

I am based 45mins away, and this is my local for English movies. Utopia is just be-hide Palace de Pope, and the first few times a bit hard to find, but if coming from the back (where its easy to park) just aid towards the back of the gold statue. It show all films in the original languages with french... More
